Could This Shocking Return Make All The Difference For Harrison On Y&R?

Hooray for Harrison’s rescue on The Young and the Restless. It seems like most of the important people in young Harrison’s life were there to welcome him back home. Kyle, Summer, Jack, Diane, Nick, and Phyllis all checked in on the little boy as he began healing from his nightmare kidnapping at Jordan’s hands. Of course, there is one very important person missing — Tara Locke.

Tara Time

Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) mother, Tara (Elizabeth Lenier), is supposedly away in jail after being convicted of embezzlement. Since people in Genoa City seem to serve far less time than she has for things like murder, it seems inconceivable that she’s still in prison.

Now that Harrison is back home safe and sound, this is the perfect time for Tara’s return. Michael Mealor, who portrays Kyle, agrees. He told Soap Opera Digest, “Oh, yes. [Tara’s return] is something I have dreamed about. I love the idea of Tara coming back and fighting Summer [Allison Lanier] and Kyle, and it just kind of turning all of that on its head.”

Mealor even had some ideas for how the explosive storyline might go. “I think that would be just a great dramatic storyline, and I think it would be terrifying and extremely confusing for Harrison as a child,” he mused.

“I think for Harrison irreparable damage that would happen from that as a child. And I think Kyle, that is another one of his worst fears, which is kind of in the similar vein of him, the potential possibility of him losing his son if she fights for custody, [if] she’s out of jail or something like that.”

Certainly, Harrison has experienced a lot of trauma in his young life. With Kyle and Summer working to co-parent and sometimes struggling, Tara’s return could also throw another wrench into their story too. While these two seem destined to stay apart, Tara might unite Summer and Kyle.

What do you think? Should Tara rush to Harrison’s side and help him overcome the trauma of Jordan (Colleen Zenk) kidnapping him?
