Both Jada and Theresa received serious shocks to their systems in the Friday, February 16 episode of Days of our Lives. This included Jada’s inevitable run-in months in the making and Theresa not getting the proposal she wanted. What do these Valentine’s Day events mean for DAYS going forward?
Everett is Jada’s Ex-Husband, Bobby
Everett (Blake Berris) being Jada’s (Elia Cantu) cheating ex-husband wasn’t actually breaking news for DAYS viewers, but it was for the detective. For weeks and weeks, there have been close calls and discussions about exes without revealing names.
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Jada bonded over wine and beer at The Pub, where they vented and opened up about their love lives. Plus, they compared notes on living in Seattle at the same time and lamented not knowing each other there. Yet, neither of them knew they had something significant in common.
Friday’s cliffhanger finally ended this initial phase of the Jada/Everett/Stephanie story. However, the shocking moment raised a few questions. For example, why did Everett seem like he had no idea why this woman called him Bobby? Or did the crack reporter just do a good job of playing dumb? More Questions
How will Everett/Bobby react when the action continues on Monday? Upcoming spoilers suggest that digging and investigating into his story will happen. Unfortunately, Jada’s going to need proof to back up what she already knows. So, does Everett not remember he was Bobby? Or is he about to gaslight Jada and Stephanie at the same time?
Surely, this development will blow up Stephanie and Jada’s friendship as well as Stephanie and Everett’s recent reunion. At least until they’re able to learn the details of his apparent double life. And who is Everett!Bobby anyway? Is he the dubious, cheating mess of an ex-husband that Jada’s known? Or the intrepid Editor-in-Chief that’s all about love and the quest for justice? More importantly, what other so-called secrets is he hiding from Salem?
Ready…or Not
Ever since finding the engagement ring in Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) jacket, Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) one-track mind focused on the Valentine’s Day proposal. Because it was happening, right? Just not at home or in the park. Of course, the perfect moment had to happen during their romantic dinner at The Bistro.
Theresa’s hopes were high despite Alex never giving her any sort of indication this was where things were heading in their immediate future. In fact, this whole Valentine’s Day, he was a complete buzzkill.
Their Bistro dinner ended with a classic Theresa Donovan meltdown once she realized a proposal wasn’t in the cards. By the time she walked out of the restaurant, she had toppled her chair and declared a bitter, sarcastic “Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone” to the entire establishment.
Delusional and Disillusioned?
What does this debacle and disaster of a Valentine’s Day mean going forward? Does Theresa become disillusioned with Alex? Clearly, they’re not on the same page. Also, Theresa’s not one to stand still. She’s a quick-explore-other-aspects kind of woman. In this case, those other avenues may spell out Brady Black, who’s shown a smidge of interest as of late.
Also, what does this mean for the plan she and Konstantin (John Kapelos) executed? The one where they anointed Alex the Kiriakis heir when it was actually Xander (Paul Telfer)? Is this secret about to go bust in the wake of Theresa and Alex’s shaky relationship?
