Claire Nomarhas has opened up about why she broke up with long-term reality television boyfriend Pat Calleja.
The couple had been together for just under a year until recently, when the MAFS bride and the MKR contestant decided to call it quits.
Speaking to Pedestrian this week, 32-year-old Claire suggested that the relationship was not meant to be.
‘We were on and off for a really long time, and then the period of me going on MAFS is the longest time that we had apart,’ said the former teaching assistant, who announced her breakup with Pat in an Instagram Story earlier this year.
‘If you’re on and off for four years and you can’t quite make it work, then maybe you’re just not meant to make it work,’ the social media star added.
Nomarhas, who was a bride on the 2023 season of reality dating show, also mentioned that she was not able to have serious conversations about the future with Pat.
‘All I ever really wanted to do was be a mum, and he never wanted to talk about that… I think Patrick really struggles, maybe with commitment.’
Claire went Instagram official with Pat last July after having an on again/off again romance with him for several years.
The childcare worker announced they were back together following a luxurious weekend away at Tokar Estate in the Yarra Valley.
In footage shared to the social media platform, the pair appeared deeply in love as they shared a kiss at the family owned and operated winery located in Coldstream, Victoria.
‘Pat is such a beautiful person. I love him so much. I’m really glad that we got to go away together,’ Claire gushed in the clip.
Reality TV appears to run in Calleja’s family. While he took part in My Kitchen Rules in 2019, his brother Tom Calleja appeared on 2022’s season of The Block.
Unlike his brother, however, Pat seems to shy away from the public eye, with his Instagram account set to private.
While Claire has yet to officially announce any new romances, the childcare worker has teased that there may be a man in her life.
‘There’s someone on my radar,’ she said coyly.
‘Watch this space, I think there’s something blossoming there for sure.’
