LOVE Island legend Davide Sanclimenti has thrown shade at his ex Ekin Su Cülcüloğlu just days after her brutal CBB exit.
The 29-year-old, who won the ITV dating show alongside Ekin, also 29, in 2022, opened up about how he’s been since they went their separate ways.
Davide and Ekin shocked fans back in January when they announced they had split, months after confirming they were back on in August 2023.
The Italian hunk recently caught up with Love Island Chloe Burrows on her Chloe Vs The World podcast – and his recent split came up in conversation.
Chloe asked him: “How is single life?”
Davide said: “Single life? At the beginning I didn’t like.
“I like to have a person and the person I love, love me back.
“But now it was the right thing to do, everything happens for a reason.
“My destiny is written.
“I don’t get upset anymore about nothing.”
Davide and Ekin met on Love Island two years ago.
The pair had a rocky ride in the villa, but ended up winning the hearts of the nation and were crowned winners.
Their relationship went from strength to strength, but they decided to break up during the summer of last year.
However they got back together in August 2023.
Ekin was recently evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The Turkish actress was part of this year’s epic line-up alongside the likes of Fern Britton, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
Ekin and businessman Levi Roots, 65, were evicted from the show and interviewed by Will Best and AJ Odudu.
They were both met by a series of boos, and Ekin began to blame the edit, despite not actually seeing anything yet.
Fans also hit out at hosts AJ and Will after their interview with Ekin.
Ekin later appeared to confirm that she’s taking time out from the spotlight following her brutal show exit.
Following on from that she dramatically pulled out of a TV appearance, just hours after her eviction.
