In an out-of-character move for Kody Brown, the patriarch finally admitted to Sister Wives fans that he indeed favors his wife, Robyn Brown. His confession comes after his relationships with his other three wives ended. For years, the father of 18 has claimed that he was never treating Robyn any differently than the rest of his spouses. However, it was completely obvious to all that he loved Robyn the most.
Since 2010, Sister Wives followers have watched Kody and Robyn go from excited newlyweds to a couple that continuously had to defend themselves against trolls. As the youngest bride, some fans started to feel that Robyn had the most power to influence Kody’s decisions. Kody’s fourth wife earned the nickname, “Sobbin Robyn,” as she would often cry to get her way. It was clear that the other wives disliked Robyn and didn’t want her to be a part of the family, but they had no say. Now, as the only remaining wife, Robyn will surely be put on an even higher pedestal.
Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Admits He Played Favorites
It came as a shock when the patriarch finally confirmed, during a Sister Wives special, what was crystal clear. He got real by saying that Robyn was the closest to his heart. In a guru-like statement, Kody shared that it was never about having a favorite wife, but more about, “finding favor.” The 53-year-old shared that Robyn was often dismissed by Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown, which left him with no alternative but to fawn over his neglected wife. Kody went as far as to commend Robyn for always coming to his rescue when the other women would badmouth him.
Sister Wives’ Janelle & Christine Brown Questioned His Loyalty
Both Christine and Janelle shared their frustration over Kody’s use of the word, “loyal,” as the two friends thought they had showed their devotion. Janelle joked that she didn’t, “kiss the ring” enough, with Christine sharing that her ex-husband’s thoughts had triggered her. Janelle and Christine have voiced concerns about Kody preferring Robyn. Janelle noted that she and her six children noticed that Kody had been, “disproportionate in the amount of time” he spent with them.
Kody always has valued loyalty, and while the ex-wives may have thought that they stood by his side, Kody never saw it the same way. In 2015, Meri was caught cheating with a catfish, while Janelle and Christine chose not to follow his COVID-19 rules. While some of the actions could be excused by most, Kody took everything personally, and clearly never recovered. For him, Robyn is the only safe place. She is the wife he can trust. The Sister Wives couple will be happier in a monogamous relationship anyway.
