Y&R spoilers are all but punching viewers in the head with the suspicion that Claire Grace is not what she seems. The first clue is that everybody loves her. Nobody in Genoa City likes anybody. So why would everybody be such a Claire fan?

Also, why is Claire (Hayley Erin) working so hard to ensure Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) finds her indispensable? She has a dark side. That part is obvious. The only question is, who is she targeting?

We know the drill: Sweet ingenue comes to town. Sweet ingenue worships Diva. Diva enjoys being worshipped. Diva lets ingenue deeper and deeper into her life. Ingenue sabotages Diva and takes over the crown. So far, so classic movie.
Is Claire targeting Nikki, and is Audra (Zuleyka Silver) just an obstacle in her way? Or is Audra the real target — maybe on the way to Tucker (Trevor St. John)? So far, Audra is the only one suspicious of Ms. Perfect. Which means she likely isn’t the target. Which means she is even more likely to be collateral damage.

But what if Nikki isn’t the ultimate target? Obviously, Victor (Eric Braeden) would be offended to learn he isn’t the center of the universe, but what if Claire isn’t after him, either? What if it’s Nick (Joshua Morrow) she wants? Or Adam (Mark Grossman)? Or Sharon (Sharon Case)?
We keep coming back to her last name — Grace. Just like Sharon’s high school friend. The one who had a relationship with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). The guy who just came back to stalk Sharon yet again.
The one who died and left her his company. If Grace and Cameron had a daughter, we can see her not being thrilled to lose her birthright to some coffee slinger/therapist. What better way to take it back than to come to Genoa City for revenge?
