The Young and the Restless has clued viewers in on the fact that Kyle is working for Tucker and Audra, but Kyle assumes he’s pulled the wool over his family’s eyes. That may be true when it comes to Jack, but Billy is suspicious.
Will This Really Happen?
And if Billy (Jason Thompson) pursues his suspicions about Kyle (Michael Mealor), Audra (Zuleyka Silver), and Tucker (Trevor St. John), it could lead to a schism in the Abbott family.
Hear No Evil
Jack (Peter Bergman) will never believe anything Billy says about Kyle. First, he loves his son. Second, he wants to believe the best about his son. And third, anytime Jack brings up Billy’s concerns about Tucker and Audra, Kyle will counter that Billy is just jealous and doesn’t want Kyle usurping his co-CEO position, which is what we call projecting, boys and girls.
Sense and Sensibility
On the other hand, there is just so long that Jack can cover his ears and sing, “Nah, nah, nah, I can’t hear you” before what Billy is saying starts to sink in. Jack loves his son and he wants to believe the best about his son. But he also knows that Kyle is very, very easy to manipulate. Especially by a woman. Jack knows Kyle and Audra are sleeping together — calling it “dating” would be a stretch. So he has to see the logic in what Billy is saying.
Halfway There
And if Jack refuses to listen to Billy, that leaves Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Ashley loves Kyle as her nephew, but she can see him more clearly than Jack. Billy doesn’t have to convince Jack. He just has to convince Ashley. And then she’ll go after Kyle. Which will be yet more conflict around this year’s Thanksgiving table. In the end, everyone will suffer. And Kyle will insist it’s certainly not his fault!
