Y&R spoilers sure didn’t prepare us for the grapes of wrath. Or, rather, for the wrath of the grape that lodged itself in Ashley’s windpipe, leading to Diane stepping in to save her sister-in-law’s life.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation
When Diane (Susan Walters) saved her life, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) didn’t know how to react. This wasn’t on her 2023 bingo card. Could it be just the thing the Abbotts need to reunite?
Y&R: Darling, I Don’t Know Why I Go To Extremes
Doesn’t it feel like both Ashley and Diane only have an off-and-on switch? Nothing in between? Diane is either the Wicked Witch of Genoa City or one of the sa ints who go marching in. Ashley is either perfectly chill about the women in her brothers’ lives or foaming at the mouth, rabid with hate.
That’s why it’s impossible to imagine a scenario where the women aren’t at each other’s throats…or best buddies. Honestly, the best buddies option makes more sense. They have much more in common than they’re willing to admit, not the least of which is stealing Victor’s (Eric Braeden) sperm. Ashley got Abby (Melissa Ordway) out of that move. Diane thought she got Kyle (Michael Mealor), but it turned out to be a dud. Maybe they’ll go out for drinks to talk about it. Somewhere with no snacks.
Y&R Spoilers: Short Term Lease
If The Great Grape Incident does trigger a truce, it will truthfully only be temporary. Ashley may consider taking a step back, and Diane might take it as an opportunity to move forward. But, in the end, both will revert to form. Ashley will get bored with playing nice. And Diane is long overdue for the same realization. Maybe a boozy brunch and a mani-pedi, but after that, it’s back to your corners to wait for the starting bell.
