The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 2, finally deliver what we’ve all been waiting for: Nikki hitting rock bottom. The interesting part is whom she decides to turn to in her most pressing hour of need.
A Cry in the Night
Victor (Eric Braeden) knows that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) pushed Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) off the wagon. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) knows that Jordan pushed Nikki off the wagon. Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) knows that Jordan pushed Nikki off the wagon. So why is Nikki hiding her struggle from her family?
It’s not like she’s done anything wrong. And she needs support. Not to mention not to be left alone around the alcohol that Victor keeps around the house because…he is definitely not an ally.
Looking For Love in all the Wrong Places
But, for reasons only known to Nikki, Nikki is pushing away her family, and leaning, instead, on Jack (Peter Bergman). Yes, Jack has always been her whipping boy. She brings her problems to Jack when she doesn’t want to bother Victor. Her husband loves his “baby.” But he’d really rather not deal with her messy issues, thanks so much. Victor has better things to do. Jack, Nikki presumes, does not.
Once More Into the Breach
So, wouldn’t you know it, just as Nikki can no longer keep her world from collapsing around her, it’s Jack she reaches out to. And it’s Jack who comes running. But will he be too late?
Nikki has already trashed her room? Will she turn all that destructive energy on herself next? And, if Nikki goes too far, will Victor inevitably blame Jack for it? After all, if his wife asked him for help, it was Jack’s responsibility to give it to her. Victor had better things to do.
