Young and the Restless: A Legal Twist

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) showed up at a suite, and she assumed Michael had found the EMT. However, she got quite a shock when it turned out to be Tucker (Trevor St. John). Phyllis assumed it was a trap, but it wasn’t. Instead, Tucker wanted something from Phyllis.

What did he want? For Phyllis to distract Diane while he and Ashley ruined Jabot and bought it for pennies on the dollar. Phyllis wasn’t so sure she wanted to do that, though, because, after all, her vendetta against Diane landed her in this situation in the first place.

Of course, all Tucker had to do was send the EMT away if Phyllis wasn’t sure she would take his terms. It seemed she agreed, though. Later, Phyllis got a knock on the door. She assumed it would be Michael, but instead, it was Heather (Vail Bloom). Michael had to go help Gloria with a legal entanglement, so Daniel had asked Heather to help out his mom.

Phyllis didn’t love the sudden change, but she ultimately hired Heather. Soon, both Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer (Allison Lanier) showed up, and they were with their mom when she went downstairs to turn herself in. Chance (Conner Floyd) arrested Phyllis while Christine (Lauralee Bell) warned Heather what a mess she’d taken on with Phyllis. Tucker sat at the bar and filmed the whole thing.

Earlier, Summer and Chance talked at Crimson Lights. She complained about how awful her life had been and mentioned how she’d always loved Kyle. Summer confided in him that her mom was ready to turn herself in. Chance encouraged Summer to do the right thing and not twist the law around just to help her mom. Christine showed up, and she also warned Summer that she could face charges.

At the Abbott mansion, Diane (Susan Walters) wanted to talk to Kyle (Michael Mealor). He was on his way out, but he stopped to talk to his mom. She encouraged him to forgive Summer, but he was livid that Summer had chosen herself over Harrison. Diane reminded him that she’d done the same thing, but he said all that was in the past.

Kyle didn’t appreciate that his mom seemed to be on Summer’s side, but Diane insisted that she was on his side. As they finished their conversation, Diane got a text alerting them that Phyllis had been arrested, and Kyle noted that Summer was right by her mom’s side.

Y&R Recap: Family Drama

Earlier, Daniel and Lily (Christel Khalil) continued enjoying her new place when Nate (Sean Dominic) interrupted. He asked if they could have a glass of wine together, and Daniel left them alone. Lily remained hesitant throughout the visit, and she ultimately let Nate know that she hadn’t forgotten what he’d tried to do to Chancellor-Winters.
Nate took exception to his cousin’s attitude, reminding her that she’d forgiven Devon and others for their misdeeds. He told her that he’d given it a try, but the whole thing was over now after how she’d acted. It doesn’t seem like the family will experience renewed unity just because Nate and Lily are neighbors.
