Young and the Restless: Because I’m Happy
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was in fine form, and she joined Danny (Michael Damian) at the GCAC. She was in a great mood after having rid herself of a negative situation, which she declined to explain to her ex.
She had the waiter pack up their food, and Phyllis and Danny enjoyed a picnic in the park. They discussed Phyllis’s new job, and she relayed that things were going well. She credited Daniel for helping her get a new attitude.
Daniel (Michael Graziadei) knocked on Lily’s (Christel Khalil) door, and he had a surprise to show her. Devon had an empty apartment in Lily’s building, and Daniel was considering buying it. Lily teased Daniel for a moment but then expressed her love for the idea, which was good since Daniel had already purchased the apartment.
Daniel wanted help decorating, and Lily let him know that Sally Spectra had started a new decorating company. After some kissing, Lily declared they had to get back to work. They saw Danny and Phyllis at the park, and Daniel announced he’d found a new apartment. Daniel offered his dad the spare bedroom, and Danny said he’d need it for an extended stay. Phyllis invited them all to meet for drinks later, and everybody agreed.
Young and the Restless Recap: Concerns
Nick (Joshua Morrow) met Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at Newman Media. He told them Victor was fading fast. Nick relayed all the recent missteps he heard from his dad, and he wanted to develop a plan for moving forward. Nikki told Victoria and Nick th at they’d get through it together.
Victoria and Nick had coffee on the patio at Crimson Lights. He told his sister he wouldn’t push their father out of Newman, but he wanted to get him help. Victoria agreed. Nick suggested they be open and honest with their dad, but Victoria didn’t know how Victor would handle the confrontation.
Victor (Eric Braeden) greeted Adam (Mark Grossman) at Society, and Adam was full of details on his menial tasks. As Adam talked, Victor demanded he stop the act, and he acted confused when Adam reminded him he was starting at the bottom. Victor ranted about explaining Adam’s misdeeds to everyone, and he fired Adam, leaving the younger man stunned.
Nate (Sean Dominic) showed up, and he relayed that Adam was doing well. He and Adam had a meeting. Nate noticed Adam seemed off, and Adam agreed to discuss the situation later. As they left, Victor said he’d see them at the office, and Adam seemed confused. When Adam and Nate went to Newman, Adam expressed his concerns about Victor’s rage and memory lapses. Nate agreed that they needed to keep an eye on Victor’s health.
Y&R Recap: Confrontations
Nikki met Victor at Society, and she relayed that Nick told them about his confusion. Victor denied the whole thing, though. Nikki expressed her dismay that this was too cruel to do to their children. All Victor wanted to know was who was the traitor in their family. Nikki predicted it’d be Adam, and Victor thought it could well be his youngest son.
Later, Adam found Nikki in the hallway, and she wasn’t interested in discussing Adam’s concerns about Victor. She accused Adam of undermining Victor, and Nikki warned she’d destroy Adam if he hurt Victor.
Nick and Victoria met with Victor at the office. They explained their concerns about his mental decline. Victor accused Victoria of trying to undermine him, but she denied it. However, Victor told both his kids that he was disappointed in their backstabbing. Victor kicked them out, and Adam watched as Victoria and Nick left.
