The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 31, 2023, brings Mamie cutting ties with Tucker after she learns what a bad guy he is.
Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Kyle tried to convince Tucker and Audra he was all in. Jack offended Billy by comparing his resume to Kyle’s. Nate told Lily and Devon about Tucker and Mamie’s connection. Devon gave Tucker a chance to come clean, and Tucker blew it. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.
Young and the Restless: Terrifying Anger
Nate (Sean Dominic) told Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) that Mamie and Tucker were involved because he’d seen a text between the two. Devon wasn’t pleased to learn that Tucker had lied to him, and Nate suggested maybe there was another explanation.
However, Lily and Devon believed that Tucker and Mamie were after Chancellor-Winters. Devon left to get the answers from Tucker, and Lily reminded him that Tucker might lie. At the Abbott mansion, Mamie (Veronica Redd) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) caught up with each other. She let Ashley know she was ready to make a change, so she bought shares in Chancellor-Winters to reconnect with her family. Ashley praised Mamie for going for it.
They also talked about the demise of Tucker and Ashley’s marriage, and after a while, Mamie apologized for bringing up such a painful subject. However, Ashley was willing to talk, and she admitted that she’d played a role in the breakup since she couldn’t give up Jabot or her family.
As the discussion went on, Ashley cried as she explained how Tucker’s rage had terrified her. Mamie had no idea, and she got angry as she realized how Tucker had acted. Ashley claimed she wouldn’t let anybody hurt her, her family, or Jabot, and Mamie supported her.
Young and the Restless Recap: Great Offense
On the patio at Crimson Lights, Jack (Peter Bergman) updated Billy (Jason Thompson) on Ashley visiting Tucker. Jack complained about Ashley doing it alone, but Billy urged his brother to give their sister the benefit of the doubt.
Ultimately, Billy convinced Jack that Ashley might be able to find out something important. Jack wasn’t thrilled, but he figured they might as well go with it since their sister was finally on their side in the whole thing. Billy wondered what else was on Jack’s mind, and Jack admitted he was upset over Kyle’s refusal to return to Jabot unless he could step into Billy’s job.
Jack said he’d considered Kyle as his replacement, and Billy appreciated the honesty. Of course, Jack was in a difficult position. Billy suggested he let Kyle work his way up, and Jack thought it was ironic coming from Billy since he never paid his dues. Not surprisingly, Billy was offended by Jack’s insulting comparison, and he went off about how it wasn’t fair and that Kyle wasn’t ready to be in charge at Jabot. Billy wasn’t happy with his brother at all, and he vowed to fight to keep his job.
In his hotel room, Tucker (Trevor St. John) didn’t buy that Kyle (Michael Mealor) would betray his family. He worried Kyle would reveal the whole plan to Jack, so he tried to stop the whole thing. Kyle warned Tucker that he was making a big mistake.
Tucker asked Audra (Zuleyka Silver) what she thought, and Audra said she believed Kyle, so Tucker asked the younger man to convince him. Kyle did his best to explain why he’d be willing to betray his dad, and he said he’d do anything to get what he was entitled to at Jabot.
Kyle had questions for Tucker, too. Namely, he wanted to know how Ashley affected his plans, but Kyle didn’t buy it. Devon knocked on the door, and Tucker sent Audra and Kyle on their way. He wondered why they were in his room, and Tucker said he was asking Kyle about Ashley.
Devon warned Tucker not to lie about his connection to Mamie. Tucker admitted he’d texted Mamie, and he said she’d be there soon. As for why, Tucker said he wanted to talk to her about Devon. Devon asked if there were other topics, but Tucker denied it. Ultimately, Devon said there was no use in talking because he knew his father was lying. After telling Tucker to leave his Aunt Mamie out of it, he left.
Y&R Recap: Cutting Ties
Downstairs, Devon ran into his Aunt Mamie, and he got her to admit that they’d discussed Chancellor-Winters. Devon warned Mamie that Tucker didn’t care about anybody but himself, and she admitted she’d sensed that.
Kyle and Audra sat at a table, and she told him to stop saying “betrayal” since the whole thing was business. She warned him that there were big things at stake. “You’re either in, or you’re out,” she said. Audra wondered what Kyle would do if Jack offered him Billy’s job, and he admitted they’d be adversaries.
Upstairs, Mamie let Tucker know that her plans had changed. She didn’t need his help anymore with Chancellor-Winters after what she’d heard from Ashley and Devon. Tucker wasn’t pleased, and he wondered how Mamie expected to take on Jill Abbott without him. Mamie didn’t think Tucker was the only one who could take down Jill, though. She said she was taking her chances elsewhere.
Devon returned to Lily’s, and he let her know what Tucker had said.
