Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Nina encouraged her son to make a change. Devon told Tucker their relationship was over. Ashley offered to help Tucker repair things. Devon, Lily, and Jill told Mamie and Nate they would move forward hiring Nate if Mamie ratted out Tucker. Finally, Kyle thrilled Jack and Diane when he said he’d return to Jabot. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Time For A Change For Chance
Chance (Conner Floyd), Jill (Jess Walton), and Nina (Tricia Cast) sat down together at Crimson Lights. She wasn’t thrilled to hear he’d been shot, but he reassured his grandma that he was doing fine.
As they talked, Nina noted Chance was thinking about leaving the Genoa City Police Department. Jill jumped on that, offering Chance a spot at Chancellor-Winters even if he didn’t have any experience.
After Jill left, Nina and Chance discussed the situation. He told her he wasn’t ready to upend his whole career just yet. Chance wanted more time to contemplate things. Nina turned on the tears as they talked, adding some mom guilt to the pressure. Ultimately, Chance agreed to at least talk to Jill about going to work at the family business since he’d spent his life running from the family legacy. Nina was thrilled.
Devon Wants A Trade
Devon (Bryton James) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) were at a table at the GCAC. Although Tucker denied it, Devon called out his dad for investing with Mamie. Tucker maintained he’d done nothing wrong, but Devon angrily told Tucker they were finished.
Later, Devon updated Abby (Melissa Ordway) about the whole thing, and she supported his plans to separate from Tucker. Neither of them felt Tucker would back down from Chancellor-Winters.
Ashely (Eileen Davidson) showed up and sat down with Tucker. She tried to reconnect with him, but Tucker wasn’t interested. He didn’t trust Ashley. She finally got a bit of a response in talking about Dominic, and Ashley offered to help mend things between Devon and Tucker. Tucker angrily accepted, noting they weren’t friends, though.
Devon went to see Lily (Christel Khalil) and Jill, and he let them know he’d cut Tucker off. Devon proposed a plan to try to get information about Tucker’s plans. Jill worried it was too risky, and Lily agreed. However, as they talked, they agreed it was good to move forward with Devon’s plan.
Mamie (Veronica Redd) and Nate (Sean Dominic) showed up at their request. They asked Mamie to tell them the real plan with Tucker, and Mamie tried to play it coy. Nate asked if his aunt had been using him, but she denied it. Mamie declared she’d cut ties with Tucker, but Jill didn’t believe it. However, Mamie’s only goal was to reunite her family in one corporation. Devon wanted his aunt to reveal Tucker’s real agenda.
Kyle Makes A Return
At the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) overheard Diane (Susan Walters) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) talking about telling him something. Instead of confessing he’d nearly betrayed the family, Kyle said he’d decided to return to Jabot, which thrilled Jack.
Later, Ashley showed up fresh off her meeting with Tucker, and she let them know that Tucker and Mamie had bought shares in Chancellor-Winters. Jack couldn’t believe Mamie would be involved with Tucker.
When Ashley explained she would help Tucker mend things with Devon, she and Jack got into a shouting match, with Ashley once more letting him know she’d do whatever she wanted. Both Diane and Kyle backed Ashley, and Jack said he’d back off and not release the article about Tucker while Ashley tried things with Tucker her way.
After Jack and Ashley left, Diane and Kyle planned for Kyle to get back into Audra’s good graces. Diane declared Kyle would be a hero when he was the one who ended up saving Jabot. Kyle sent Audra a text wanting to talk.
Ashley met up with Abby at Society, and she updated her mom on how upset Devon was. Ashley got details about the argument between Devon and Tucker, and she asked Abby if there was any chance Devon and Tucker could have a relationship. Abby thought it was over for good. Ashley tried to get her daughter to sign on to help mend things between Devon and Tucker.
Audra texted Tucker that he’d been right about Kyle reaching out. He replied that she needed to reel him back in. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest Y&R spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history.
