Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon make a big offer to Tucker and Ashley. Diane tries to leave Jabot, but Jack won’t let her. Lastly, Billy tells Phyllis she should be proud of Summer. Now, let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Young and the Restless: Marriage Plans

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) took Abby and Devon (Bryton James) housewarming gifts. Later, Abby checked in with her mom about Tucker, and Ashley assured her that she trusted her fiancé. Abby also lamented what she wanted with Chance, but she said that things with Devon at the Chancellor mansion just felt perfect.
Tucker announced that he and Ashley were planning a small wedding. Abby was shocked, and Tucker promised that he’d never hurt Ashley again. Ultimately, Devon and Abby gave their blessing and offered to throw their wedding at the mansion.

Abby admitted that Ashley and Tucker seemed genuine, and he was touched that they’d host the wedding. They left, and Devon wondered what was behind Abby’s offer. Abby said it seemed like her mom was truly in love. Abby and Devon cuddled on the couch, and he brought up marriage. Devon wanted to talk about marriage since they never had discussed the possibility of it before.

Young and the Restless Recap: Drama

Billy (Jason Thompson) insisted that Diane (Susan Walters) resign from Jabot, but Jack (Peter Bergman) wouldn’t hear of it. Billy warned his brother that things would get very ugly and left. Diane appreciated Jack being in her corner.

Diane and Jack went home and enjoyed a “normal” evening together. Of course, they talked about Phyllis, and Diane admitted that the woman might walk on her charges. Jack predicted that Phyllis wouldn’t have time to go after Diane, given how much mending fences she had to do.

As Jack and Diane kissed on the couch, Ashley walked in. She and Jack snarked back and forth. Diane broke in, announcing she was leaving Jabot. However, she said her resignation left Ashley a problem. Jack stepped in and insisted that Diane wasn’t quitting, and he said he was ending the war right then. Tucker walked in.

Y&R Recap: Pride

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) freaked out on Heather (Vail Bloom) over Christine failing to drop the charges. She worried that Carson might recant his testimony, and that made Heather suspicious. Phyllis reassured Heather that she just didn’t trust Christine, but Phyllis said Heather didn’t know Christine’s dark side.

Heather told Phyllis she didn’t believe Phyllis and said she needed her full honesty. Phyllis tearfully told Heather that Tucker had her under his thumb. Heather wanted the full truth, but Phyllis lied and said Carson was a witness. Heather suggested that they fast-track the trial, and she suggested they deactivate Tucker’s threat while Phyllis focused on making amends.

Billy walked up as Phyllis said she planned to make big changes if she beat the charges. He asked Heather if Phyllis had a prayer of doing that, and Phyllis said she had an eyewitness. Billy left, and Heather promised to make sure Carson was protected. As Heather walked out of the GCAC, Tucker followed her.

Billy walked back over and asked to join Phyllis. He wanted to tell her something about Summer. He let Phyllis know how impressed he’s been with Summer during the whole ordeal, and Billy said Phyllis should be proud. He warned Phyllis not to break Summer’s spirit. She said she knew she had to turn things around or she’d lose everything.

Phyllis asked how Kyle and Jack reacted to her return, and Billy didn’t know about Kyle. However, he said Jack was skeptical, and Diane wanted her to pay for her crimes. Heather returned, and Billy left. She dropped the bombshell that Carson had disappeared.
