The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 14, 2023, brings an exchange of vows for Tucker and Ashley.
Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Billy worries about double-crossing his siblings. Audra and Kyle (Michael Mealor) come up with a plan, which she puts in motion, while Nikki tells Victor her suspicions about Audra and Nate. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: Wedding Preparations
At the GCAC, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) found Devon (Bryton James) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) together. When Devon stepped away, Tucker told her he was getting married and hoped she had a special gift for him. Audra noted there was a delay, but she promised she wouldn’t let him down.
Victor (Eric Braeden) showed up later, and he made some snide remarks about Tucker getting his hooks into Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Tucker insisted that he and Ashley were in love, but Victor knew they’d bought a company. Tucker didn’t tell him much about their plans.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) got ready for Ashley’s wedding. She suggested that they call off their plan with Billy (Jason Thompson) since it was a lot to ask the younger man to play his sister. Jack wanted to wait a while though to see what Ashley and Tucker were going to do.
At the Chancellor mansion, Traci (Beth Maitland) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) talked before Traci left to get ready. Ashley walked in, and she was nervous. Abby told her she didn’t have to get married, but Ashley insisted she wanted to.
Upstairs, Ashley got ready, and Abby let her mom know that Dominic was sad he couldn’t be the ring bearer because he had a cold. Soon, it was time for the traditions, and Abby let her mom borrow a bracelet Ashley had given her as a child in Paris. She also gave her mom Ashley’s baby book as something old. The bride’s dress served as her something blue.
Young and the Restless Recap: I Do
Audra found Kyle in the jazz lounge. He wasn’t going to his Aunt Ashley’s wedding, so they spent time together. Kyle noticed Audra seemed worried, but she didn’t tell him what was really wrong with her.
They went upstairs and enjoyed some adult time. Audra finally admitted that Adam had blackmailed her over something she helped Tucker cover up. Kyle had a plan, which they discussed off-screen, and Audra vowed to put it into motion as soon as possible.
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Billy talked before heading to the wedding. He told her part of him wanted to end up taking the reins at Jabot, which worried him. Chelsea suggested they skip the wedding, but Billy wanted to support his sister, so they went.
When Ashley was ready, she went downstairs, but Traci, Jack, and Diane were late. Abby offered to wait, but Ashley wanted to move forward without them. Just as Ashley was about to walk down the aisle, the trio showed up and took their seats.
Ashley walked down the aisle, and she and Tucker said their vows off the cuff, much to everybody’s surprise. Jack and Diane, in particular, had some obvious reactions during the exchange. After Ashley tossed her bouquet to Abby, Tucker and Ashley kissed, and then everybody offered congratulations. Abby even welcomed Tucker to the family. Kyle showed up after all. Jack gifted Ashley her company’s assets. She wondered what the catch was, though.
Y&R Recap: Not On My Watch
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor talked at home. First, they discussed Ashley’s “sham” wedding, but Nikki let her husband know they had bigger issues. She relayed that it seemed Nate and Audra were scheming about merging Newman Media and Adustus. They both agreed that Adam would benefit the most.
Audra showed up, and she was surprised Nikki was there — to which Nikki deadpanned, “I live here.” Not deterred, Audra dropped the bomb to Victor that Adam was blackmailing her.
