You don’t even have to have watched Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful to know that she has a gift for taking a tricky situation and making it trickier. The moment that she crossed over to The Young and the Restless, she started doing the same thing in Genoa City, too.
Lately, though, Sally has… well, if not walked the straight and narrow, at least walked the straighter and the narrower than she used to. That could all change, however, should she catch the eye of a certain playboy.
“Sally hasn’t had many scenes with Billy,” Courtney Hope observes to Soap Opera Digest, “but there’s something about the way Jason Thompson plays Billy that I think could be really fascinating for Sally because he’s in a lot of ways similar to how Adam is, but I think Billy’s a bit more obvious. There’s something about him that I think could bring out some of Sally’s older tendencies.”
And let’s be real. While Sally may not have gotten in scalding-hot water recently, she isn’t exactly ready to be fitted with a halo. “She’s kind of gotten a little mainstream, but I don’t think that’s really who she is,” says her portrayer. “I would really like to see her spiciness come back.”
Certainly, if she were to catch the eye of Chelsea’s significant other, some spiciness would be required. Chelsea may have made herself over into a model citizen, but she’s never been one to shy away from a fight. And if Sally was bold enough to take on no less than Phyllis, she for sure wouldn’t be intimidated by the likes of Chelsea!
