We’re not sure who we should feel sorrier for on Days of our Lives. Should our hearts bleed for Theresa, who is just being used as a distraction for Alex Kiriakis while he continues to pine over Stephanie, or Alex, who will, sooner or later, get the rug ripped out from under him? It’s only a matter of time before he learns he isn’t really Victor’s long-lost child…and that Theresa is the one who set the big con in motion.
Alex Kiriakis: Half Way
On the surface, it seems like Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is the bigger victim. He did nothing wrong…in this scenario, anyway. Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was furious at the idea of Xander (Paul Telfer) coming into an inheritance from secret daddy Victor (John Aniston). (Want more on this s tory? Click here.)
So much so, she spitefully changed the documents to make it sound like Alexander Kiriakis…not Xander Cook… was the real heir. Oh, and then she jumped into bed with Alex, to make sure he knew she was interested in him before anyone knew how loaded he was. More loaded than before, that is.
The Other Side
We’d be on Team Alex…if he wasn’t kind of a jerk, too. We’re not even talking about turning off Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) phone so they could have sex. That was really the least of his crimes. We’re talking about how he’s treated Justin (Wally Kurth) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) since being named the big cheese at Titan. He deserves to be taken down a few pegs. And, if Theresa is the one to do it… eh, he had it coming.
Love is a Many Splendored Thing
Right now, each is using the other. If one actually falls in love, then maybe we’ll reassess the situation, and begin rooting for one over the other. Right now, though, a little suffering would do them both good.
