Married At First Sight star Mitch Silverstein has returned to being a regular guy away from his reality TV fame. Mitch made his reality TV debut in 2022 as one of the five men on Married At First Sight season 15, hoping to find their future wives on the show. However, unlike most of his co-stars who signed up for the show and knew a little bit of what to expect, Mitch didn’t know about Married At First Sight until he was approached to star in the show. After rejecting the idea, Mitch changed his mind quickly.
After signing up, Mitch was matched with Krysten Collins, a sales representative for a software company. However, upon sighting his bride, whatever beauty standards Mitch envisioned, Krysten didn’t meet them. Despite their best efforts, Krysten and Mitch were rarely on the same page, but the couple’s dramatic relationship made their story one of the season’s standouts. Mitch Wasn’t Taken by Krysten’s Looks
Mitch’s hopes of finding a future partner started when he stood at the MAFS altar opposite his match, Krysten. But Krysten looked more excited during the vows than Mitch. The reason why Mitch didn’t look that intrigued to be getting married soon became evident when he called Krysten during their honeymoon to tell her he didn’t feel physically attracted to her. The absence of physical attraction in a romantic relationship is a huge recipe for disaster, and Mitch’s struggles with Krysten’s looks became the foundation of their shaky marriage. Krysten struggled with how sparingly they got physically intimate.
Mitch went on a business trip without his wedding ring, explaining to Krysten that he wasn’t ready to tell his whole company about his marriage. It was clear they wouldn’t be staying together.
Still, Mitch and Krysten stayed together to try and work out their differences. Although things between them improved, Mitch was always back to the subject of Krysten’s looks. Mitch told Krysten to stop using makeup and asked her sister how he could get Krysten to look the way he wanted. Before making his reality TV debut, Mitch was known for his career as an environmentalist. Since leaving the show, Mitch has picked up where he left off, actively participating in environmental activism. Just a few weeks after the Married At First Sight season 15 finale, Mitch took to his Instagram page to celebrate the passage of a legislature that saw San Diego become “the largest city in California to say goodbye to single-use polystyrene foam.” Mitch’s subsequent Instagram post also features him interviewing environmental volunteer leaders and policy staff about their work to protect the environment.
Mitch’s environmental activism efforts have also seen him appear on podcasts, participate in peaceful demonstrations to hold people in power accountable, and community awareness efforts like “paddle for clean water.” Mitch’s work with the Surfrider Foundation started in 2015, serving in various volunteer leadership positions before he was hired as San Diego County’s Chapter Manager in 2018. In 2020, Mitch moved into the chapter’s policy role, hoping to lead and influence policy efforts to protect the coast of San Diego at local, regional, and state government levels. Judging by Mitch’s Instagram account, the MAFS alum is making some impact.

Mitch Has Unveiled His Mystery Lady
Mitch’s time on Married At First Sight season 15 might’ve ended in disappointment, but he seems to have found new luck in the dating scene. In June 2024, Mitch took to his Instagram to show off his “lady,” posting pictures of them enjoying outdoor activities together. Mitch captioned the post, “Trip back east w/ my lady to visit her fam. First few days were great, but things went downhill fast once I caught that ‘novel virus’ that’s been going around since 2020.” The novel virus Mitch was alluding to appears to be COVID-19.
In one of the pictures, Mitch and his lady were wearing face masks, which he further explained they only wore indoors when they couldn’t avoid sharing space with others. “It’s about protecting them, not us,” Mitch wrote in response to a fan who advised their lungs would do better without masks. Nonetheless, it wasn’t all gloomy for the couple as another picture showed them paddling a canoe on the Youghiogheny River in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, another picture showed the couple looking through binoculars as they sat together on a chair. Mitch appears to have finally found his perfect match at last.

Despite the hurdles that disrupted their marriage, Mitch and Krysten managed to end their marriage amicably. However, while the pair still follow each other on Instagram, they don’t interact with each other’s posts, and there’s no indication they’ve had any contact since the show ended. Although Krysten hinted that things might work out differently for them in the real world, Mitch shut down any hopes of them potentially rekindling their romance, and the duo appear to have since moved on with different people, with Krysten also recently teasing a new relationship on her Instagram.
Meanwhile, since Married At First Sight season 15 ended, Mitch appears to have fully moved away from his brief stint as a reality TV star. Unlike Krysten, who still hangs out with her co-stars from the season, Mitch doesn’t appear to have maintained any close relationships from the season. Mitch hasn’t appeared with any of his co-stars from the season and hasn’t been reacting to any of their posts on social media. Also, considering Mitch didn’t seek to be on MAFS and was instead recruited, it’s understandable that he would want to leave that stint behind.
