For the week of August 26 – August 30 on Days of Our Lives, spoilers focus on schemes, confessions, and dire consequences.

Out-of-the-Box Alliance

An enraged Gabi (Cherie Jimenez — how luck helped her get her the role of Gabi) refuses to forgive Stefan (Brandon Barash) for sleeping with Ava (Tamara Braun). Sure, they were miserable working for Clyde (James Read) and missing their significant others. Sure, they were completely wasted. Gabi was in prison attempting to evade beatdowns. All this to say, she gets to feel however she wants to feel about Stefan and Ava’s one-night stand.

What she’s feeling is wrath. Gabi plans to take Stefan for everything he is worth. On top of that, she approaches EJ ( Daniel Feuerriegel) and presents him with an intriguing proposition. Yes, EJ. The man who let her languish behind bars potentially joining forces with the woman who destroyed his marriage at a press conference. These two often battle. Are they about to be allies? How far will they take this alliance, huh?

False Confession

Somehow, Brady (Eric Martsolf) continually finds himself in one hot mess after another. No sooner did he lose Theresa (Emily O’Brien) to Robert Scott Wilson’s Alex (Alex was the real loser in this scenario. Sorry, not sorry, Theresa.). Then he hooked up with Xander’s mom. He and Fiona rode a dangerous un-sober path, and now the father of two is paying for it.

Out of the badness of her heart, Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) is letting Brady take the blame for hitting Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) while drunk driving. Now that Sarah is paralyzed, the guilt is seriously messing with Brady. In fact, expect him to confess his crime to Jada (Elia Cantu).

Odds and Ends

Speaking of Fiona, there’s no way she will get away with this drunk driving disaster she created when she hit Sarah. And then left the scene of the crime. Suddenly, Justin (Wally Kurth) overhears her. Does he hear enough to know that she is railroading Brady? Does Fiona quickly catch on and try to stop Justin from blurting her secret to the residents of Salem?

Meanwhile, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard — who is engaged to a former DAYS actress) apparently take stock of the people that they have become since they became Salem’s version of Romeo and Juliet. Together, the two have been deceiving their family and friends all summer. Once again, there is collateral damage. The two thankfully realize their actions have consequences. What’s important here is what they’re going to do about it.

Finally, Melinda (Tina Huang), a smart woman, has been known to make terrible, terrible choices. Her latest was drinking Connie’s tea. The mad murderess pushed the tea too hard, Melinda. She acted beyond sus. Melinda should have known. Anyway, she’s lucky she’s not dead. But Connie (Julie Dove) decided to hold her captive. What happens when Melinda learns the truth about Connie? We guess it depends on whether she can escape her captivity.
