Thea de Sousa, the author of The Unofficial Real Housewives Ultimate Trivia Book and blogger behind the popular fan page Your Moms Are Watching, has just released a new tell-all about the cast of Vanderpump Rules.
After following the Bravo reality series for years and establishing connections with the cast, Thea has written The Unofficial Vanderpump Rules Ultimate Trivia Book, which will take readers down memory lane, all the way back to the very first season of the show, which began airing in January 2013.
“I really know the show like [the] back of my hand,” Thea told The U.S. Sun on October 14.
In addition to sharing things that fans may have missed, Thea asks readers questions and offers fun games like, “What Vanderpump Character Are You?”
“Every single chapter starts with a drink recipe and then there’s also a background on one of the characters, [Stassi Schroeder] or [Jax Taylor] or whoever, and then there’s 500 trivia questions. So it goes from kind of easy to hard covering all the seasons. I did all the way up until season 11 because it [was] to the press by last spring. So it has all the seasons that have aired so far in the book.”
In addition to bringing her behind-the-scenes knowledge to each chapter, Thea also added sarcasm to her publication.
“I really love the show. And there’s these amazing illustrations of every character, and they’re all in these iconic poses, like, you’ll have [Brittany Cartwright] saying, ‘Rawt in hell!’ It’s super fun, if you’re a big fan, to be able to revisit from day one … a lot of stuff you forget right from the beginning of the show. So, I feel like it really acts like a retrospective,” she explained. “I feel like it really encapsulates the entire show. And of course, you know, I spent a lot of time with [Tom Sandoval] as well, at the end, [he] has his own special chapter.”
While Pump Rules was quite popular from the start, Sandoval, 42, and his scandalous affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 30, further boosted the series, ultimately garnering the show two Emmy nominations.

As she looked back on some of the early moments of the series in her book, Thea recalled even more shocking information about Sandoval.
“It’s real quickly mentioned in the reunion, but people forget, Sandoval actually lived with a girl who had just graduated high school, who was just 18, and [it] was a little scandalous at the time,” she claimed. “He was like 30, and he had mentioned that he and her roommate had like all kind of had a thing together. And that’s funny to me because then cut to you know what had happened [with Scandoval], you think, well this guy is definitely the kind that is interested in friends. And so there are things that kind of lay the groundwork that I feel like people forget about.”
“There’s so much incendiary stuff that went on behind the scenes that is always touched on in the show, but sometimes just not really extrapolated on. And I thought that was the most fun thing for me to explore in the book because when you see those things, then other things make more sense,” she continued. “It’s hard to remember 11 seasons of a show.”
Of “Scandoval,” Thea admitted that she was not shocked by him cheating on Ariana Madix, 39.
“It was very fun, slash disturbing when it all broke. I remember because my sister was Raquel’s pageant coach, and I was sitting with my sister that night and she was like, ‘Did you hear what happened?’” Thea revealed. “I just think if the show hadn’t [have] been so great from the beginning it never would have taken off as much as it did, I think all the binging really like amped up that whole scandal. Just the things that happened on that show were so crazy. So it was really fun to watch people’s faces start from the beginning and say, wow, season one, season two.”
