According to Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will resolve their dispute because they genuinely see a spark. Melinda and Li are aware of the odd match they make given their adversarial pasts, but they are also beginning to see different sides of one another. Li will thus plan a special evening for the new woman in his life.
Days spoilers indicate that during the week of August 21–25, Li will go above and above for a beautiful date in the hopes that it impresses Melinda. Melinda will be pretty fascinated with Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) secret, though. It looks like Melinda will collect on the favor Sloan owes her, so that could make things extra messy. Days spoilers say there’ll be some legal issue that Melinda expects Sloan to help clean up, so it could involve bending the rules a bit.
That could give Sloan some leverage if Melinda lets the paternity deception get back to Eric Brady (temporarily played by Jason Gerhardt). Even so, Melinda will be going crazy just sitting on this information. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) isn’t the true father of Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) baby, so Melinda will desperately wish she could tell someone. Li might prod Melinda to open up because he seems to be able to tell when she’s not paying attention on their date.
Days teasers indicate that Melinda won’t be certain whether or not she should speak up, particularly since she hasn’t yet developed any genuine trust with Li. On the other hand, Melinda might use that as a justification to have some faith in Li and tell the truth. It might go a long way toward demonstrating to Li that she is truly ready to be open with him. Even if Melinda doesn’t say anything, Li may easily follow her and overhear what she and Sloan are talking about. Li is generally a rather shady guy, so it won’t be difficult for him to discover the truth.
Of course, that could also give Li a great deal of power. Li might have to decide whether he wants this chance at love more than he wants a chance at payback.DOOL fans will recall how EJ fired Li and humiliated him, so that added to the shame Li’s felt from his family. It’s easy to see why Li might want revenge on EJ – and what better way to get it than by delivering this life-changing paternity info?
Li might be tempted to expose EJ’s relationship with Nicole and hurt his feelings. Unfortunately, doing so would mean squandering this fresh chance at love with Melinda, so Li may find himself faced with a difficult choice.
