Kyle’s Divorce Demand – Kicks Summer to the Curb for Protecting Phyllis Over Diane?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will put her marriage on the line by keeping Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival a secret following their reunion. Summer will feel the need to protect her mom, but lying for Phyllis’ sake could cost her big time.
Once Summer starts deceiving Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’s bound to get suspicious.
Y&R spoilers say Summer will prove she’s not a very good liar, so she’ll bungle her way through this and leave Kyle wondering what’s going on.
At some point, Kyle may do some digging in hopes of understanding what’s going on in Summer’s head.
Maybe Kyle could even follow Summer and find her in the middle of a meeting with Phyllis down the road.
One way or another, Kyle will find out the news that Phyllis is alive – and he’ll realize Summer was willing to hide it from him.
Of course, the worst part will be the fact that Summer had the ability to clear Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) of Phyllis’ murder and didn’t come forward.
It’s one thing for Summer to blame Diane while grieving the mom who faked her death.
It’s quite another for Summer to knowingly let her innocent mother-in-law face charges – especially when Kyle’s so desperate to get Diane out of hot water.
Kyle has been worried that his marriage won’t survive the latest crisis, but Summer’s actions could do the worst damage.
Will Kyle demand a divorce after he discovers Summer’s deception?
Kyle could decide to kick Summer to the curb for protecting Phyllis over Diane.
Since Summer’s loyalty to lying Phyllis will matter more than their marriage, Kyle may think that tells him everything he needs to know about their crumbling relationship.
Even if Kyle doesn’t push for a divorce immediately, he may insist on a separation.
Kyle certainly won’t be able to pretend everything is fine once he learns the depth of Summer and Phyllis’ dishonesty.
