‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the Daytime Emmys have nominated Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) and Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor! The two have been an important part of the performance for many years, and we want to see one of them win the award.
They will confront Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) of ‘General Hospital’.
Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) of ‘Days of our Lives’ grabbed the last lead actor place, so there are plenty of deserving talents out there!

Let’s face it: we’re all pulling for Peter Bergman, right? While we all believe Jason is fantastic, he hasn’t done much as Billy recently other than talk Chelse a Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) down and start a weird connection with her.
Jack has had Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) return, battle for her place back with her family, and now has to cope with a false charge as a result of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) faking her death.
Bergman has been doing an outstanding job (as always), and we will be rooting for him to win the Emmy! While there were many wonderful performers nominated, we have to question if anybody else from any of the other series should have been considered.
Perhaps Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ for his great narrative of deceiving and apprehending Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)!
