‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) thinks that he can spy on Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and collect information for the Abbott family. He believes that Tucker has fallen for his story and is going to try to use him to launch an attack on Jabot. This is the truth of the matter, but can Kyle run this ruse without damaging his family’s business?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A Spoiled Kyle Abbott
Y&R’s Kyle Abbott believed that he deserved a top position at his family’s company, Jabot. He had a job as co-CEO of Marchetti with his wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). When they decided to divorce, his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) informed Kyle that Summer would have that job and Kyle would need to move to another department in Jabot.
This really upset Kyle. He felt that Jack passed over his son in supporting Summer. Jack did make an appropriate call though. It was Summer’s job first and she had brought Kyle on. Jack was protecting the company by having Kyle leave so there would not be animosity in the office.
Kyle was only interested in the top position at Jabot and couldn’t see himself just taking on a menial job. While he isn’t necessarily that old or experienced, he couldn’t see himself having less because he had already been at the top. His father has not been interested in dumping his co-CEO, Y&Rs Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on Kyle’s behalf.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Claws into Him
Y&R’s Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was sleeping with Kyle after he and Summer broke up. She hired him to work at Newman Media. This went well until Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) got wind of their personal relationship. She demanded that Audra fire Kyle.
When Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) returned to Genoa City with a plan to take down Jabot, Audra decided to jump on board. She jumped in Tucker’s bed, and she decided to work with him to take down the Abbotts. He encouraged her to continue to seduce Kyle to get him to join them to take down his family.
Audra convinced Kyle to join forces with her and Tucker to take over Jabot. This take-over included the promise of a top position at his family’s company. Kyle decided to join them in their endeavor.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: About Face
Kyle began to get the idea that Audra was only sleeping with him to get him to join forces with Tucker. He was also having second thoughts about helping to take down his family company. He told Audra that he wanted out.
His mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), encouraged him to go back to Tucker and pretend to join forces with him after all. Then he can find out Tucker’s plan to take down Jabot. Kyle agrees that this will help to prove to his father how dedicated and faithful an employee he is, and how he deserves the top position.
Kyle thinks that he has convinced McCall that he is sincere about helping him. He believes that he has the upper hand and that McCall is convinced of his loyalty. Kyle seems too arrogant to manage the situation. He has no idea how smart McCall is. He tries to get some plans out of McCall, but Tucker says he’ll find out when he needs to know.
Will this blow up in Kyle’s face? Will he inadvertently destroy his family and Jabot? Billy believes that he is dangerous and is really helping Tucker because he doesn’t know the secret plan. Kyle thinks he can handle Tucker, but will he really give Tucker all the ammunition he needs? What do you think?
