‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Big Secret
Daniel Romalotti knows the secret. His mother, Phyllis Stafford (Michelle Stafford), is alive. She faked her own death with the help of Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). They framed Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) because they both wanted to get revenge on her.
Phyllis found that the consequence of their scheme was too much to bear. She couldn’t stand to see her children hurting and she wanted to return to them.
Stark said she could not because he was not willing to go back to prison. He decides to kill Phyllis, since she is already dead. When he attacks her, she kills him in self-defense.
Now Phyllis is stuck. If she comes back to town, she’ll be in trouble for framing Diane and killing Stark. If she had called the police right when she fought Stark off and killed him, then perhaps it would have been better.
She could have claimed he forced her into everything. But now it would be difficult to convince anyone of that.

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has been the only one to see Phyllis. Phyllis was able to get her out to the park and admitted everything to Summer. This was so much for Summer to bear, that she had to tell her brother.
She also could not bear to see him in pain anymore. She begged him to keep it a secret until they can figure out how to keep their mother safe.
Daniel really thinks it is best to tell the truth. It is important so that Diane doesn’t suffer anymore. This also hurts Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Summer’s husband. He needs to know the truth.
He will be really hurt when he finds out that Summer has been hiding this from him, making him and his mother suffer unnecessarily.
Summer disagrees. She says that it is the only thing to do right now. When they figure out how to help Phyllis, then they can tell others. But Daniel has had enough of this wait. He sends a message to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), asking to talk to him.
What will Daniel admit to Jack? How will Jack be able to use the information to help Diane? If they never see Phyllis and Summer doesn’t support the story, how will Daniel’s story be feasible? What will come of this? Share your thoughts below.
