Congratulations are in order for Kristen Doute! The reality star known for Vanderpump Rules and The Valley is expecting her first child with her fiancé Luke Broderick.
People Magazine confirmed the news, with Doute sharing her excitement. “After our pregnancy loss last year, we decided to start trying in early 2024,” Doute said in a statement. “I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving, so Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.”
She goes on to explain that she and Luke met with a fertility specialist in late summer, “to learn about our options and what could be the next step.” She continued, “The next month was a whirlwind — getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination).”
Doute revealed that she received the news of her pregnancy about two weeks after the procedure. “I was relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous,” she explained. The second I told Luke, he wasn’t surprised, but was SO happy that IUI worked the first time (we were prepared that it may not). He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least!”
Doute added that their due date is June.
Fans may remember that Doute started her reality TV journey as an OG on Vanderpump Rules, serving as a main castmember on the Bravo Real Housewives spinoff series for eight seasons. Now, Doute is a founding member of Bravo’s Pump Rules spinoff, The Valley, alongside other former Sur workers Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright and more.
According to People, Luke proposed to Doute this September during production of the upcoming second season of The Valley.
