Sutton Stracke is sharing what led to her being rushed to the hospital amid the January taping of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion.
Ahead of Wednesday’s conclusion of the three-part special, which will see her fall ill, seemingly at the sight of Kathy Hilton, 64, who made a surprise appearance, Sutton, 52, revealed her double diagnosis while also applauding Andy Cohen, 55, and Garcelle Beauvais, 57, for their response, and confirming if Kathy had anything to do with it.
“I did have a medical issue that was serious,” Sutton confirmed on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast on March 10. “Andy Cohen was so dear to me. He called a medic right away and I ended up going to the emergency room with truly one of my best friends, Garcelle. She stayed with me at the emergency room the entire time, which I cannot thank her enough [for].”
According to Sutton, it was her bicoastal work schedule that led to a diagnosis of exhaustion and dehydration.
“It ended up that I was suffering from exhaustion, which sounds stupid, but it’s a real thing. And dehydration,” she explained. “I was working a lot between New York and LA, back and forth, working on my new company, Sutton Brands. And then also, [I] had a severe case of bronchitis. So I was really down for about 10 days. I had to shut my life down, which is very difficult for me. And it took about six weeks for me to feel 100 percent again.”

While the trailer for the RHOBH reunion seemed to suggest that Sutton went into a panic as soon as she saw Kathy on set, gasping for breath and leaning toward Garcelle as Andy fanned her with his cue cards, Sutton denied she was the cause.
“It had nothing to do with Kathy Hilton. We’re very good friends,” she clarified. “Kathy was like, ‘What’s going on?’ Kathy was calling me when I got out of the emergency room that night, checking on me. The entire cast checked on me, not just one day but several days.”
“And we have the most amazing production team. They were with me. Some of them were with me at the emergency room,” she added.
Following the ordeal, Sutton said she’s learned that she needs to take better care of herself.
“It was a very scary moment for me,” she admitted. “And it was a reality check for how I need to treat my body.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion, part three, airs Wednesday, March 13, at 8/7c on Bravo.
