Married At First Sight 2025 is officially underway and Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal pictures from one of the first weddings filmed in Sydney.
‘TikTok tradie’ Dave Thomas walked down the aisle with a petite blonde bride on Tuesday, as the couple filmed their nuptials at Carriageworks in Redfern.
The Victorian-based groom, 36, is a whopping 6.6ft tall and owns his own caulking business.
He’s also a TikTok star boasting close to 30,000 followers who tune into his renovations.
Also a bodybuilder and model, the strapping fella looked impressed as he wed his stunning bride.
Dave looked dapper in a black tuxedo paired with a white dress shirt and matching bow tie.
He had purple flowers pinned to his lapel and beamed for the cameras as the nuptials got underway.
Meanwhile his gorgeous bride looked stunning in a lace wedding dress that clung close to her figure.
She added a flowing veil and opted for a clean bridal makeup look while pulling her hair off her face.
The two looked charmed by one another, chatting and smiling as they posed for photos.
On Dave’s Instagram, which has been locked to private ahead of the show’s premiere, he can be seen flexing his impressive muscles.
The tattooed hunk is a fan of gym workouts and appears to have a pet dog that features in his selfies.
Cameras have officially started rolling on the new season of Married At First Sight.
But it seems season 12 is already stirring up controversy, with fans threatening to boycott the 2025 series after the casting of well-known reality stars.
The backlash erupted after Daily Mail Australia revealed that former Bachelor star Sierah Swepstone and Perth-based fitness coach Paul Antoine, who previously appeared on The Real Love Boat will be part of the new season.
Fans of the show have expressed their frustration on social media, accusing the producers of recycling reality TV personalities rather than giving ordinary Australians a chance to find love.
‘MAFS has lost its authenticity,’ one disgruntled viewer wrote on Instagram.
‘It’s supposed to be about genuine people finding love, not giving more airtime to people who are already famous.’
Another fan commented: ‘I’m so done with MAFS. Bringing in people like Paul and Sierah just shows how desperate they are for ratings. Boycotting this season for sure.’
Other fans were more vocal about their disappointment.
‘For the last time Australia wants to see real genuine everyday people… not these types!! For the love of God,’ another wrote.
‘Why can’t they find people that genuinely want to find a partner. Not someone that’s after social media fame. So over seeing all these people that are just social climbers,’ another questioned.
Sierah’s elimination from The Bachelor went down in reality TV history as one of the best exits when she hilariously confessed Jimmy wasn’t into ‘tall, horny bogans’ after he sent her home.
However, her appearance on MAFS has been met with scepticism.
Despite her genuine search for love on her previous reality show, many believe her casting on MAFS is a strategic move by the producers to attract viewers rather than focusing on authentic matchmaking.
According to an insider, producers are hoping that the new cast will once again bring unparalleled drama.
As anticipation mounts for Season 12, fans can brace themselves for another heart-pounding, highly addictive quest for love.
The upcoming season is poised to redefine the boundaries of love, drama, and entertainment.
An insider connected to the show let slip that the series will feature the most outrageous cast to date.
