Married At First Sight star Ryan Donnelly is not one to hide his love of self-improvement and heading to the gym.
The 36-year-old proved that again on Saturday when he took to Instagram to share a steamy selfie.
Ryan snapped himself in the changing room of his local gym, flaunting the fruits of his workout labours in the mirror.
The project manager appeared shirtless in the image, and his enviable six pack was on full display.
Looking nonchalantly at his phone, Ryan also showed off his chiselled arms and well-toned chest as the threatened to fog up the mirror with the steamy pose.
Ryan also took the time to make a not-so-subtle reference to his rocky relationship with his ex bride Jacqui Burfoot, 29.
Captioning the enviable image, Ryan wrote: ‘WARNING: Magnet for controversy,’ cheekily augmenting the sentiment with a smiling face with halo emoji.
The eye-catching shot should come as no surprise to frequent visitors to Ryan’s Instagram account, with the reality star frequently posting videos of his workout regimen.
Ryan also recently stripped down to his underwear for ManHunt Australia after nabbing a top ten spot in the nation-wide search for Australia’s next hot model.
However, Ryan was unlucky not to be crowned winner, losing out to model Dylan Mahoney.
Ryan’s gym habits were one of many things his ex bride Jacqui placed under the microscope during their rocky on-screen marriage.
He came under fire after he threw a tantrum when Jacqui told the brides that he refuses to have sex before a gym session to ‘preserve his testosterone’ – despite previously sharing intimate details about their bedroom life with the grooms.
In a chat with Daily Mail Australia, Ryan hit back at his portrayal on the show, slamming Jacqui’s decision to reveal private details, calling it ‘pure hate bait.’
Despite the drama it caused, Ryan admitted he was baffled by how much airtime the conversation received.
‘Honestly, watching it back, I thought it was boring. Breaking news: Stop everything- husband prefers sex after working out.
‘Good lord. What a revelation,’ he said sarcastically.
But while he brushed off the scandal as ridiculous, Ryan didn’t hold back in criticising Jacqui for bringing up their private conversations on national television.
‘We’re in one of the most stunning, memorable places in Australia, and Jacqui wants to bring that garbage up?’ he said.
‘The other girls’ sex lives must have been vanilla as f**k if that became the main topic.’
Ryan also suggested that Jacqui deliberately framed the story to make him look bad.
‘What do we really think her motivation was? It wasn’t curiosity or a genuine desire for insight. It was pure hate bait. To make me appear selfish and neglectful.’
Despite defending himself, Ryan did acknowledge the hypocrisy of his previous comments about Jacqui’s bedroom skills during intimacy week.
‘I can easily recognise the hypocrisy of mine in the context of the intimacy comments. Oh, Ryan, you can’t get mad at her because you dropped some juicy details with the boys,’ he admitted.
Ryan and Jacqui’s relationship was one of the most tumultuous in recent MAFS history, with the acrimony between the pair continuing long after the cameras stopped rolling.
Jacqui has since moved on with Clint Rice, who was paired with Lauren Hall in the 2025 season.
