The Young and the Restless recap brings a terrible moment for Sharon Rosales when she learns that Faith never got on the plane to go back to college.

Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Michael reassured Nick that he’d get out of jail. Victor, Nikki, Victoria, and Nate gathered to talk about how to handle Nick’s arrest. Victor overheard Nate and Audra scheming. Summer hatched a plan to get a witness for Phyllis, and Daniel tried to get Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) help to talk her out of it. Summer also got Victor to reluctantly agree to help her. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Young and the Restless: Sharon Rosales Worries About Faith

At Sharon’s, Faith (Reylynn Caster) complained about having to leave so soon. Chance (Conner Floyd) showed up, and she lit into him about arresting her dad. He said he had no choice, but Chance told Faith he was there to protect them. Sharon (Sharon Case) insisted that Faith get going. She asked her daughter to text her when she got to the airport.
At the jail, Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Michael (Christian Le Blanc) that Cameron set him up and to get him out right then. Of course, Michael let Nick know it wasn’t that easy. Michael warned Nick that Cameron had his number and advised him to simmer down. He also let Nick know that Chance was watching out for Faith and Sharon. Of course, Nick still felt worried.

Young and the Restless Recap: Sharon Rosales Gets Awful News

Back at Sharon’s, she was scared when she and Chance heard a sound at the door. It was Michael stopping by to tell her going to the authorities about Cameron was the right move. Chance and Michael agreed that Cameron was probably up to something, and the lawyer talked about getting a restraining order.

Michael got a call from Summer wanting to meet, and he had to be the one to tell her Nick had been arrested. He left, and Sharon and Chance chatted a bit, but she realized she should’ve heard from Faith at that point. She kept getting her daughter’s voicemail, so Chance called the airline. It turned out that Faith never got on the plane, and Sharon absolutely lost it, sobbing about her daughter’s disappearance.

Young and the Restless Recap: Personal Leave

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) found Victor (Eric Braeden) yelling at somebody on the phone. He said they needed to get Nick out of jail, but Nikki suggested that they distract themselves with work. Victor then asked his wife for an update on Nate, and she let him know that he had made good decisions for the company.

At the bar at the GCAC, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) reveled in their productive day after starting things off with morning sex. Victoria got a text about her brother in jail, and Nate assumed it was Adam. However, she informed him it was Nick, so he grabbed the check.

Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer (Allison Lanier) debated the pros and cons of getting a fake witness. She wanted to find the EMT, but Daniel thought he was a fugitive who would lie and extort them for years to come. However, Summer said she thought that it was exactly what Phyllis would do. Daniel pointed out that their mother’s schemes weren’t exactly working.

Summer told her brother she didn’t need his help, and he left. She got on a video chat with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She relayed her plan, but Phyllis refused to allow Summer to do that. Instead, Phyllis said she’d find the EMT, and she encouraged Summer to work on her marriage. Summer didn’t know if it was possible, though.

Daniel went to the GCAC, and Phyllis video-called him. She asked Daniel to take care of Summer and keep her from going too far. She asked Daniel to keep looking for the EMT, Carson, but he worried about what the guy would do. Phyllis refused to tell her son where she was.

Soon, Nate and Victoria showed up at the office, and they discussed the possibility of Nick getting out on bail. Not surprisingly, Victoria worried about how it would look for Newman Enterprises. After all, Nick could be aggressive, but Victor reminded his daughter that Nick’s aggressiveness helped her plenty in the past.

Even so, Victoria wanted to ask Nick to take a leave of absence. Nate left the family alone, and Nikki said she could cover for Nick while he was gone. Victor decided they should call it personal leave. After Victor left, Nikki asked Victoria if her relationship with Nate colored how she saw her brother. Victoria denied it, but she admitted that she would promote Nate to Nick’s spot should her brother end up leaving the family business for good.

Y&R Recap: A Poor Plan

At Society, Michael updated Summer about Nick’s case, and she cried about what a mess her life was. He reassured her that everything with Nick was a misunderstanding. She updated Michael that she’d seen Phyllis, but didn’t know where she was, and the lawyer was glad to hear that.

Summer relayed her plan to find the EMT, Carson, and pay him off to serve as a witness. Michael wanted no part in that idea. After all, Summer could face many charges, including fraud, if she got caught. Michael refused to break the law for anybody, and he said they needed Victor.

At the bar, Nate and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) toasted after he updated her on Nick taking a leave of absence. Once again, he promised to promote her if he got promoted. Victor overheard their scheme, though, and he watched them leave.

Next, Victor went over to Michael and Summer. The lawyer updated Victor on needing his resources to track down the EMT. Victor wasn’t pleased, but Summer begged him to help out her mom. Of course, Victor didn’t think that Phyllis returning to Genoa City would be all that great. Ultimately, though, Victor relented and agreed to help them find Carson.

Meanwhile, Daniel went to the Abbott mansion to talk to Kyle. He asked for Kyle’s help with talking Summer out of the plan to locate Carson and pay him off to lie for Phyllis. Kyle wasn’t convinced that Summer even cared enough about what he thought for him to talk her out of the plan.
