Married At First Sight star Belinda Vickers announced her engagement to Hayden Burbank back in February 2024.
And claims have emerged that the couple have thrown a surprise wedding in Melbourne.
The Herald Sun reported that Belinda, 31, and Hayden, 52, were planning on hosting an engagement party in the swanky suburb of Toorak on Saturday.
However, it was claimed that there was an ulterior motive to the festivities, with with the party also doubling up as the couple’s nuptials.
It was also reported that more than 100 guests were expected to attend the celebratory cocktail party including Noiseworks rocker Jon Stevens and his partner Heloise Pratt.
Melbourne Football Club president Brad Green had also been invited to attend.
While there has been no official word from the couple about the surprise nuptials, Belinda took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate the their three-year anniversary.
She shared a video montage that showed the reality star enjoying a series of romantic moments with her beau.
From riding motorcycles to scuba diving and tender kisses in tropical locations, both Belinda and Hayden looked over the moon to be in each other’s company in the sweet clip.
’36 months and one day,’ Belinda captioned the romantic post, adding the hashtags #anniversary and #23april.
The clip was met with a flurry of comments from friends and followers, with one offering, ‘and the journey is just beginning.’
Summing up the sentiment of many, another chimed in with, ‘You look great together well done.’
The couple announced their engagement back in February last year, telling the Herald Sun Hayden’s unique Valentine’s Day proposal included a treasure hunt at the Botanical Gardens.
‘She’s been phenomenal for me, the most beautiful, kind soul I’ve ever met. I had tears rolling down my face as I got down on one knee,’ Hayden said.
Hayden, who is the former owner of swanky Melbourne hotspot Morris Jones, added his proposal caught the attention of the public, who burst into applause after Belinda said yes and accepted his dazzling engagement ring.
‘It was always yes. It was 12 months after MAFS that we met and it really led me to him and opened up new people for me meet,’ Belinda said.
The pair met in Melbourne through mutual friends in 2022.
In 2021, Hayden was jailed for three months after breaking Covid rules during the height of the pandemic.
He hopped the border into the Northern Territory before travelling to Western Australia to watch Melbourne Demons win at Perth Stadium.
To dodge WA’s strict border rules at the time, he falsified a rental agreement at a Darwin address while also fraudulently obtaining NT drivers’ licences.
Their relationship blossomed after the bar owner spent 90 days behind bars at WA’s maximum security Hakea prison, which earned him the jailhouse nickname of ‘border breacher’.
Hayden described his experience at one of Australia’s toughest jails as ‘the ultimate game of Survivor’.
‘You have to form alliances and not do anything stupid and get through each day by day,’ he told the Saturday Herald Sun in March 2022.
‘They are the longest days of your life. I’m not built for jail. Nobody is built for jail.’
Hayden added he shared a cell with one of the prison’s top dogs, a bikie, who would wake him up each morning and taunt: ‘Border breacher, border breacher’.
Belinda found fame on season eight of Married At First Sight, which aired in 2021.
She and her on-screen husband Patrick Dwyer were deemed the ‘golden couple’ of the series but split up after nine months.
