RTE star Doireann Garrihy has revealed who her “dream celebrity guest” is to compete on Dancing With The Stars.
The hit show will be returning to screens in early 2025 with a host of new celebrities competing for the coveted glitterball.
Doireann has hosted Dancing With The Stars for the past two years, alongside Jennifer Zamparelli, who has been a host since 2018.
The radio duo both left their 2FM shows earlier this year, leaving many questions raised about their future on Dancing With The Stars.
However, after much speculation it was confirmed that both hosts will return in the new year to lead the beloved show.
Doireann appeared on The Six O’Clock Show this evening for a catch-up with co-hosts Brian Dowling and Katja Mia.
During the interview, Brian said: “Now, it is nearly time for something else, and that is Dancing With The Stars.”
He then asked Doireann: “When do you actually find out who’s in?”
She revealed: “I’m going to find out next week, I’m not going to lie to you guys.”
Katja then asked: “Who would be your dream celeb guest to be on it?”
Doireann was quick to respond: “I think Una Healy needs to do it.”
Katja then added: “I’m surprised she hasn’t done it already.”
Doirean admitted: “That’s a realistic goal for us.”
Then speaking about the show, she continued: “It’s amazing. I’m really excited to to go into my third year.
“My first year was scary, my second year I was like, ‘Oh god, am I going to be able to do it as well as I did it last year?’, because I do feel like I did well the first year.
“Now it’s like, ‘Okay Doireann you’re settled in now, you need to be bringing extra a-game’.”
DOIR-LIGHTED
Earlier this week, Doireann shared a festive video showing off how she and her soon-to-be husband Mark Mehigan decorated their home for Halloween.
Taking to her Instagram, she showed her followers how she went “all out” for her first Halloween in her new home.
She started by raking the leaves in her front garden, to spruce it up for the forthcoming trick or treaters.
The 32-year-old then began to add spiders and cobwebs all around her window trimmings and windowsills.
She even got light up jack-O-lanterns for outside her house and had some spooky decor dotted around the inside of her home.
Doireann joked that she had “17kg of sweets” for the trick or treaters.
