Luis Ruelas is under fire on social media after admitting he’s encouraged Teresa Giudice‘s daughters to wear thongs and short skirts on an episode of his wife’s podcast, Turning the Tables.
Although the segment of the podcast episode has reportedly been removed, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, 50, who married Teresa, 52, in 2022, continues to face labels of being “creepy” and “scary” for the statements made about Gia Giudice, 23, Gabriella Giudice, 20, Milania Giudice, 18, and Audriana Giudice, 14, who Teresa shares with ex-husband Joe Giudice, 52.
“Try it all! You know, nothing bad, or anything like that. But I’m saying, like, go to the club and dance, wear a thong, wear a short skirt, show your legs off a little bit,” Luis said in the episode, as heard in a clip shared by @HWHistorian2 on Instagram. “Because they’re the most proper girls I’ve ever met, but it’s like, experience it now. Take a risk.”
Luis then looked back on the family’s 2023 trip to Greece.
“We went to Greece last year. You know what you told your daughters? ‘Wear a thong. Do it now! Do it now ’cause I didn’t do it when I was young. Do it now. Experience it now.’ And then when they came out in thongs, you’re like, ‘You guys look f*cking amazing!” Luis recalled.
And as she continued to exclaim “yes,” seemingly in agreement with what Luis was saying, Teresa admitted, “Oh my God, they looked so good.”
In watching the published Youtube episode of the Turning The Tables podcast, featuring Luis, the part where he discusses this appears to have been edited out.
Following the sharing of the clip, however, fans were outright disgusted.
“It’s one thing to give them advice of you only live once, but to tell them to wear thongs and short skirts??? That’s soo inappropriate and creepy!” one proclaimed.
“This is not ok behavior. Red flag. Poor young ladies,” another stated.
A third wrote, “Imagine a stepdad telling the mom of four daughters he encourages his stepdaughters to wear thongs, mini skirts, etc. Joe Guidice what do you think?”
“As their real dad do you think it is okay for him to encourage this?” the person continued. “We know Teresa will do anything to make this turnip happy but really your girls???”
Someone else pointed out that Audriana was 13 years old last summer when they visited Greece.
“If ANY man would tell my daughter to wear a thong. Omg. I don’t know what I would do. And if their dad heard that. He would lose his job. [Joe Giudice] wake up [and] warn your daughters,” wrote another concerned IG user.
Others said that Luis is “so sick” and suggested that he may be “controlling” and “grooming” the Giudice women.
“Teresa really needs to be very concerned,” someone stated. Another added, “Luis is scary.”
