Shannon Storms Beador is reacting to being sued.
On the Thursday, Sept. 26 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon continued to deal with ex John Janssen potentially suing her for money that he claimed he loaned her for a facelift.
On the phone with her daughter Adeline, Shannon explained where things stood with John. “This John-threatening-lawsuit thing has friggin’ spiraled,” she said. “I offered to pay him all the money he wanted but he wouldn’t sign a settlement agreement where he wouldn’t say bad things about me.”
“That’s weird and gross,” her daughter replied, as Shannon agreed.
“I am working really hard, Adeline, I don’t need him to bring me down,” she continued. “Get off my back.”
In her confessional, a tearful Shannon admitted that she was feeling overwhelmed by the idea of a lawsuit, before the screen cut to her revealing she thought John wanted to “blackmail” her.
“I feel as though I’ve hit rock bottom,” she told cameras. “And it seems like John wants to get me down there further, and I don’t think I can get any lower.”
Just hours later, news of the lawsuit being filed broke, and although Tamra Judge attempted to call Shannon to check in, she didn’t receive a response. After hanging up, Tamra received a call back from Shannon, but it was a butt-dial.
“My emotional level right now is f—ing panicking,” Shannon could be heard saying on the other line while sobbing.
“I’m so overwhelmed and so f—ing tired,” she continued before realizing there was someone on the other line.
At Katie Ginella’s house that night, the women (sans Shannon) gathered with their significant others for dinner. When Tamra brought up what she heard on the other side of the butt-dial with Shannon, Katie said she could understand Shannon’s feelings.
“If I was Shannon and I had been sued by Alexis [Bellino] and her ex-husband and then Alexis and her boyfriend, in Shannon’s mind, that’s what she’s thinking,” Katie explained to the other ladies, referring to Alexis’ ex Jim Bellino suing Shannon and Tamra for defamation in 2018. (Shannon and Tamra ultimately won the case.)
Meanwhile, Shannon was at home by herself, sharing that she felt “sick to my stomach” over the situation.
“I just feel like a lot of things are coming at me at the same time and it’s okay, I’ll deal with it,” she said in her confessional. “It’s just a lot.”
While in bed with her dog, Archie, Shannon grew emotional. She told cameras it was hard to be alone during that time.
“It’s my choice, I want to be alone,” she affirmed, adding, “I don’t have my kids home, so it’s just alone. I have Archie.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
