Kyle Richards reacted to Dorit Kemsley sharing her pre-reunion text message at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills taping on Thursday, following the airing of the first installment of the three-part special.
During a live appearance, Kyle, 55, admitted to being “shocked” at Dorit’s decision to leak the message while also confirming where they stand now, offering an update on her strained relationship with Sutton Stracke, 52, and reacting to a recent rumor regarding the potential reveal of her alleged romance with Morgan Wade, 29.
“I did not know at that time that she read my text message, and that was private, and I was really shocked by that,” Kyle admitted during a February 29 appearance on Amazon Live. “Because in all the years of doing this show – fourteen years there now – I’ve never, ever shared anything that’s been said to me off camera or a text that’s off camera, private.”
According to Kyle, she believes Dorit shared the message publicly because “some people do just want the audience to agree with them.”
And just weeks after downplaying her friendship with Dorit and accusing Dorit of ‘exaggerating’ their friendship, Kyle appears to have had a change of heart as she now refers to Dorit as a “close friend.”
“She is my friend, and I care about her and her family a lot, but you don’t do that to your close friend. You just don’t,” she stated.
While Kyle said that she and Dorit were still “friends,” she added that things are “not good” between them at the moment.
“She hurt me, a number of things I didn’t get to say at the reunion. It wasn’t just things that she said on the show and in her interviews. At BravoCon, they had us get up – you know, the two best friends from Beverly Hills – and then they said something like, ‘Name your favorite Richards sisters and what order.’ Obviously, Dorit and I are the closest. And she was like, ‘Hmm,’ and she didn’t wanna say and couldn’t say. That’s why I said, ‘It feels like you always just are playing to the audience instead of saying what you really feel in your heart, and it really bothers me,’” Kyle revealed.
Although Kyle remains on the outs with Dorit following their rocky 13th season, she’s actually in a better place with Sutton, whom she also feuded with on the episodes.
“We had dinner last night, and it was nice to try to get past everything that happened this last year,” she shared. “I don’t like to hold onto any bad feelings or any negativity, so that did feel good to see her. And then my sister [Kathy Hilton] joined us, which was nice.”
Also during her Amazon Live appearance, Kyle revealed if there was any truth to Deux Moi’s blind item, which suggested she and Morgan would be officially debuting their romance on the cover of a magazine amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky, 53.
“That is not true. That blind item is not about me. No,” Kyle confirmed.
Then, when she was asked how Morgan was, she said she was “good” and plugged her new music.
“Did you see her new song? ‘2 AM in London.’ She shared a teaser. You can preorder,” Kyle revealed.
The three-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion continues with part two next Wednesday, March 6, at 8/7c on Bravo.
