Kyle Richards reacted to the separation of Dorit Kemsley and her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, during an appearance on Monday.
Days after kicking off production on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 at a party thrown by Sutton Stracke, 52, Kyle teased a potential confrontation with Dorit, 46, who failed to support her amid her own separation from Mauricio Umansky, 53. She also shared if her estranged husband would appear on the new episodes and looked back on her run-in with a rat.
“I feel bad for them, obviously you know going through that is difficult enough without everybody wanting to know all the details. So, you know, I feel terribly for them,” Kyle said of Dorit and PK, 56, during a May 14 appearance on Amazon Live.
After she was then asked if Dorit’s challenges would help her realize how unsupportive she was to her amid season 13, Kyle confirmed, “This will be addressed.”
In the weeks leading up to the start of filming, Kyle consistently said she was not yet signed on. So, why did she wait so long to make her decision?
“I was torn just because it’s been a long time since I’ve been on the show, and last year was hard and I just — I really wanted to get back to having some fun on the show, and I just needed some more time since the reunion,” she explained. “It was very soon that they started talking about it, and it was a much harder decision to make this year than any of the other years before.”
“When I do finally decide not to come back, it’s going to be hard because it has been such a part of my life for so long. And like I said, the crew are like a family for me,” she added.
As for whether Mauricio will be seen on the new episodes, Kyle shared, “I’m sure he will because you know he is obviously family.”
Looking ahead, Kyle said that she hopes to “[have] fun” on season 14.
Also on the live stream, Kyle looked back on the moment a rat crawled onto her car, causing her to go into a complete panic — which she chronicled on Instagram.
“I went to go get coffee, and I’m sitting in my car looking at emails, you know, just doing my thing and relaxing because I had some time to get my next appointment… My passenger window was down and all of a sudden, I see a rat — not only just looking in the window, but about to climb right in the window on the passenger side,” she recalled.
Kyle continued, “Of course, I freak out. I scream. I roll up the window fast. I’m shaking, I’m trembling, and then it’s now on the front of the car. So of course I’m like, like any normal human being, I grabbed my phone to capture this because I want to show my friends.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is expected to premiere on Bravo later this year or early next year.
