Kyle Richards has been a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for over a decade, and she’s definitely comfortable having a camera follow her around. But when it comes to filming herself, she may still have a thing or two to learn, which is why it’s a great thing she has tech-savvy daughters to teach her everything there is to know.
In a new interview with People, Richards praised her teenage daughter, Portia Umansky (who she shares with her ex, Mauricio Umansky), for her makeup skills. She also confessed to how Portia was exposing her to TikTok and the things she was learning from the social media platform.
Kyle Richards Discusses Her Youngest Daughter Portia Umansky
Kyle Richards’ youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, has a keen interest in makeup, and she appears to be learning a lot. “I watch Portia do her contouring on the way to school, and I just can’t even believe what I’m seeing,” Richards told People. “I mean, the amount of [contour] lines going all over her face … then I just do my regular routine, and I’m like, ‘Is it that different?'”
In the same interview, Richards admitted that her approach to makeup is a more “classic” finish, but she acknowledges that her daughter is keeping up-to-date with all the latest trends. “Obviously [at] that age, [she] is very much into learning everything on TikTok,” Richards shared. “So my morning drive to school every day is when I get all my updates on what the cool TikTok things are.”
Kyle Richards Returns To ‘The Real Housewives’
Kyle Richards is reported to be returning for the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, so fans will be given a look into her life, which could also potentially include her split from Mauricio Umansky. It was a big decision for Richards to decide to return to the Real Housewives franchise amid her relationship problems with Mauricio Umansky. “I was torn just because it’s been a long time since I’ve been on the show, and last year was hard, and I just — I really wanted to get back to having some fun on the show, and I just needed some more time since the reunion,” she said on an Amazon Live session (via People).
She also discussed her return, saying it “was a much harder decision to make this year than any of the other years before.” She continued, “At the end of the day, the crew and everybody are like my family. When I do finally decide not to come back, it’s going to be hard because it has been such a part of my life for so long. And like I said, the crew are like a family for me.”
However, she does have a support system she can lean on during this difficult time in her life, including her sister Kathy Hilton, who recently gave insight into Kyle’s life in an interview with ET. “You know, there’s good days for Kyle and then there’s tough days,” Kathy said. “And I am there talking to her every day, several times, and I wanna be there for her.”
Kathy also made the decision to support her sibling at the season 13 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “I wanted to be there and just hold her hand,” she explained. “I wanted to be there and be supportive. It was great to see all the girls again.”
