Rachel Uchitel isn’t often in the public eye these days since her breakup with Tiger Woods. However, she remains active as she hosts a podcast and is working on an autobiography. Recently, she appeared on a podcast and discussed the domestic abuse claims against her friend, Mike Shouhed from Shahs of Sunset. Plus, she also reveals that she once dated David Foster, who is Yolanda Hadid‘s ex-husband.
Mike’s fiancee, Paulina Ben-Cohen, recently filed a lawsuit against the former reality TV star for abuse. According to her, he allegedly battered and abused her after an argument. Notably, there is also video footage of an altercation between the two.
When asked about Mike’s situation on the Below the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Rachel had this to say, “I spoke to him last night about it. He is shocked about the allegations. He can’t believe it. And you know, he just can’t believe it. He said he left her alone, and he can’t believe that she would be coming after him now.”
She then goes on to say that she hasn’t seen the video but heard how bad it was. She also doesn’t know when the video was taken because Mike had previously told her that he and Paulina had settled things.
Rachel says, “On my podcast, he talks about the incident with Paulina. So, I’m not sure if this is the same night that that video was taken. I’m not sure. He told me that the charges were dropped on my podcast. So I don’t know if this is a totally separate incident or what.”
She also admits that she is unsure what Paulina wants out of a lawsuit. Rachel also recalls a time when she called the police on her ex. However, she did not want to press charges.
“I’m not clear what she wants out of a lawsuit. If she wants money or if she wants to put him in jail or what. This has happened to me. I have called the police. I’ll be honest with you. I called the police on my ex-husband many years ago. You know, we’re talking 10 years ago. Something happened. There was a physical altercation.”
Rachel continues, “I did call the police to de-escalate it. And once they came, of course, I was like, I don’t want to press charges because I got nervous about getting him in trouble. They chose to press charges regardless because once they’re involved it’s domestic violence.”
She also questions how the press got pictures of the incident and claims that pictures don’t tell the whole story.
According to Rachel, “I posted a picture, this is totally different, of me standing in a handstand. I can’t tell you how many comments I get from people being like holy shit, you’re so sick. How do you hold a handstand like that? I held a handstand for not even a second, and I fell down on my face and almost broke my neck, but it looks so hot because the picture is taken.”
She clarifies, “So that’s what I’m trying to explain. Everything is smoke and mirrors if it’s a picture. You have just no idea. So, again, I’m not saying that what happened didn’t happen. I’m just saying we, you know, I like Mike. I want the best for him. “
The interviewer then recalls when he had Paulina on his podcast for a live interview. He says he could hear Mike in the background yelling and that she even had to cut the interview short.
The conversation then turns to past relationships when Rachel admits she dated David Foster. She says, “Well, it’s very funny. Somebody wrote me last night and said just so you know, Spencer Pratt was talking about you on the Howie Mandel Show. I’m like how did my name get brought up, so she’s like I didn’t know that you dated David Foster, and I’m like uh-oh.”
She doesn’t give many details as she plans to have Spencer on the podcast to talk about it. However, the two joke about how Rachel, who also previously dated Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley, could have ended up on Housewives.
