How long has Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) been claiming to have turned over a new leaf? At least since her return from the dead. And even before. At first, her children were willing to play along. Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer (Allison Lanier) love her. They want to believe the best about her. But the bloom is off that rose.
Once Summer found out her mother was considering going to work for Tucker (Trevor St. John), she threatened to never trust her mother again. So Phyllis shrugged and decided, “Oh, what the hell, I’ve got to be me.” And you know who Phyllis is? Phyllis is someone who terrorized Christine (Lauralee Bell) for years…decades even. So why not go back to that well? Who needs new leaves?
Joy To the World
While his mother reverts to type, Daniel is feeling at loose ends for Christmas. Lily (Christel Khalil) is presumably still off fighting forest fires — or, at the very least, spending the holidays with her kids. Well, you know what? Daniel has a kid, too! He can spend Christmas with Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant). And, if Lucy’s mom happens to tag along, well, ’tis the season to be jolly. For all!
Surprise Party
Michael (Christian Le Blanc) is back in Genoa City. His wife, Lauren (Tracey Bregman), is thrilled. Michael is thrilled, too. He wants to demonstrate how happy he is to be home and with his family by doing something really special for Lauren for the holidays. But, what do you get the woman who has everything? And if she doesn’t have it, then she owns a department store that probably sells it. Michael is forced to think outside of the box. And what he comes up with…wouldn’t have fit in a box, anyway.
