Kathy Hilton came to her sister Kim Richards’ defense on Instagram after her looks were targeted by a “very mean” social media user.
After Kathy, 64, and Kim, 59, posed with one another and a few friends at Kathy’s annual Christmas pajama party, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member fired back at the critical fan, also sharing why her other sister, Kyle Richards, 54, wasn’t present at the event.
“Lord. Kim looks … yikes,” an Instagram user had written in a comment shared to a photo shared by Bravo Breaking News on Instagram.
Understandably, Kathy was disappointed to see the harsh criticism of her sister and responded in a message of her own, saying that the person was “very mean,” and telling them, “[I’m] praying for you.”
Kathy also reacted to another Instagram user who told the person, and others who left rude notes, “Leave Kim alone she has gone through lots in her life.”
A number of others shared their support for Kim, who has struggled with addiction issues in recent years, some of which have been chronicled on RHOBH.
“We love you Kim,” someone said.
“I am saddened by all the people attacking a woman’s looks. Nice photo,” said another.
“Love Kim’s energy! Great picture,” wrote a third.
And in response, Kathy shared a praying emoji and a heart-faced emoji.
Kathy then explained why Kyle wasn’t at her party.
“That is so sad Kyle is not there, she didn’t do anything! Just goes to show you all the money in the world can’t buy you happiness… Family = Happiness,” an Instagram user had written.
“She was filming her doc,” Kathy responded. “I will be celebrating with Kyle [on] Saturday night. Don’t worry about Kyle she’s hanging in there.”
Then, after another asked, “Where’s Kyle,” and said, “She could use a sister,” Kathy reacted with a praying emoji and a heart-faced emoji.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Kyle similarly defended Kim against critics in 2021 when Kim was accused of looking “high as hell” during an outing in Los Angeles.
“She hasn’t been in public in over a year because of COVID and she was anxious,” Kyle explained at the time.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
