Andy Cohen is accused of being ‘bleary-eyed’ and ‘slurring’ when he sent Brandi Glanville a “disgusting” video message in which he requested she watch him have sex with their fellow Bravolebrity, Below Deck‘s Kate Chastain.
Speaking of the June 2022 message in a new interview, the 51-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum admitted to being “mortified” by the behavior of her boss, who hosts Watch What Happens Live, as she explained how awful his proposition felt and opened up about the impact it has had on her health.
“I was so mortified and embarrassed,” Brandi told The U.S. Sun on August 20.
In the clip, in which Andy is seen holding a beverage, he says, “Brandi, we have something to tell you,” as Kate adds, “Hey, b*tch!”
Andy then tells Brandi, “We are f*cking tonight, and we’re gonna talk about you the whole time.”
“So essentially a threesome,” Kate clarifies.
Andy then requests Brandi join them for the encounter.
“Actually, if you’re around in like 90 minutes or two hours, do you wanna watch us on FaceTime?” he asks. He then turns to Kate and asks, “Would you be cool with that?”
“Yeah, FaceTime. Yeah, strong WiFi,” Kate replies.
Andy ends the video by saying, “Love you, Brandi!”
After receiving the inappropriate video message, Brandi responded in an equally racy way — but only because she felt obligated to “match Andy’s energy” to remain employed with Bravo.
“Oh my god my two favorite people!!!! I love that c***. Trust me you’re going to want me there if you’re having sex I have a magic p****,” Brandi wrote.
“So I’ve heard,” Andy replied.
As she reflected on the ordeal over two years later, Brandi said, “I received a text message from Andy, and it was a video he made. And in the video, he said that he was going to have sex with Kate, and they were going to be talking about me and thinking about me the whole time. And if I was around, do I want to watch it? I was mortified. This is my boss, he’s my employer. This isn’t the first explicit text message or email he sent me, but it’s the worst one.”

According to Brandi, she was in a work setting when Andy sent the message to her.
“Andy was at a work event in the South of France with Kate, it was a Bravo upfront kind of thing, and I was doing press for the [Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip] in LA,” she revealed. “I had a hairstylist doing my hair, and when I opened the text, I tried to shut it. I was so mortified and embarrassed, like, does this guy think I’d f*ck my boss to get a job?”
“Because that’s what it sounded like. Like, he’s gonna think about me having sex, while he’s having sex with someone else,” Brandi continued. “That’s how I felt, and it’s just taken a toll. The whole thing has been horrible.”
Noting that Andy “did not look sober” in the video, Brandi said the clip made her feel like “lesser than” and like she was “expendable” as she suspected her “desperate” financial situation led Andy to take advantage of her.
“He thinks that he can do and say whatever he wants to me, and I’m not gonna rock the boat or tell on him because I need him more than he needs me,” she suggested.
As noted in the report, Kate shared a TikTok around the time the clip was sent to Brandi in which she and Andy, in the same outfits as they were in the video sent by Brandi, were seen in Monaco on a yacht.
“Rosé literally all day,” Kate captioned the clip.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Brandi accused Andy of sexual harassment in a legal letter sent out earlier this year.
“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time, and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter stated. “This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted. It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.”
Following the claim, however, Andy took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and apologized, suggesting he was “clearly joking” in the video.
“It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize,” he stated.
Still, Brandi, who did not receive an apology directly from Andy, believes he “preys” on talent.
“I say prey, because the more desperate you are for money in a check, the more he mistreats you and gets you to do and say things that he would never probably say to any other Housewives. This is my boss, like, this has been my job for 13 years, so I treat it like that – a job. He’s in charge of whether I can put food on the table or not, and people think I’m rich. The more desperate you are for money in a check, the more he mistreats you,” Brandi explained. “I am not rich. Other Housewives are rich. I literally live check to check.”
Continuing on about their relationship, Brandi said, “I’ve never hung out with him, ever, not once socially, I would go to Watch What Happens Live, and I would go home. We never had a drink, we never had anything. But he creates these illusions of friendship.”
“It’s gross. The whole thing is gross. I feel like I’m like, a Bravo side chick, and they can take advantage of me and then be like ‘You’re canceled now, and we can do whatever we want to because you’re nobody,’” she added.
Also during the interview, Brandi said she’s “disgusted” with herself and with Andy.
“I should have never allowed him to talk to me that way,” she noted. “My health is messed up. I am in therapy, to this point like I have been looking back at all of our other texts and being disgusted with myself for entertaining them and not telling him to f*ck off, but I just wasn’t in a position where I could.”
