Nick Newman sure does seem to be at a The Young and the Restless crossroads in his life, doesn’t he? Feels like he has nothing left except yelling at Adam, yelling at Victor about Adam, and warning Sally away from Adam. (Christian who?)
Nick Newman: What’s Next?
Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) dad wants him back at the family company, his mom wants him to make nice with his sister, his ex-wives dare have lives of their own, his children are grown (Christian who?), and the last woman he slept with dared sleep with Adam. He could keep yelling about that, or he could course-correct. What should Nick do next? What almost 2,000 viewers told us.
We’ll Have Fun, Fun, Fun
With all the other women in his life bringing the drama, 6% of the audience would like to see Nick reunite with the only woman he ever had fun with — Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis is many, many, many things. While most of those many things are criminal and certifiable, she is never boring!
A slightly larger 7%, on the other hand, would like to see Nick and Sally (Courtney Hope) give it another try. Sally is basically a younger, less currently insane Phyllis. Nick can intimidate her in a way he can’t Phyllis. And he does like to get his way.
The Real End Game
Why are we even pretending that Nick’s soulmate could ever be anyone but Sharon, 36% of you wonder. It’s not just that she’s his first love, it’s not just that she’s the mother of the majority of his children (Christian who?). Sharon is where Nick always goes when he has nowhere else to go. Like now. Which makes her home.
Remember Me?
By a tiny margin — 51% — the vote went to: Forget women, for the time being, Nick. He needs to focus on Christian. He is either a needy pre-teen who, if not paid attention to, will turn into a whiner like Connor, or, he skipped those awkward years, and is a hunky teen looking to get into trouble. Either way, Nick needs to focus on his son — before the boy takes after his biological father, Adam. And Nick has to yell at him, too.
