The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, November 8, 2023, brings Michael giving Phyllis some tough love.

Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Danny and Christine reconnected at Daniel’s place. The Abbotts and Jill figured out Tucker’s real plan. Tucker tried to convince Mamie to rejoin him, and later, Ashley refused to sell him her half of their company. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.

Tough Love

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) saw Christine (Lauralee Bell) at Crimson Lights. She wanted to catch up, but Christine wouldn’t bite. Phyllis let Christine know that the word around town was she and Danny (Michael Damian) were growing closer. Again, Christine wasn’t interested in chatting with her old nemesis, but she did manage to get in a few digs at Phyllis.

As Phyllis tried to find something to do for the evening, she ended up at the jazz lounge. Michael (Christian le Blanc) joined her, and she threw herself a pity party. Michael reminded her that even though she escaped jail, she’d have to pay for faking her death. Phyllis wasn’t too thrilled, and she wondered why others like Christine and Diane weren’t facing such karma. Michael served as the voice of reason, encouraging Phyllis to beautify her life.

At Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei), Danny awkwardly asked his son to borrow his kitchen for a date with Christine, and yes, he was making the famous sauce. All Daniel wanted was some of the leftovers, and after Christine arrived, he split.

After they ate, Christine told Danny he’d made her the best dinner she’d had in her life. He was thrilled since Gina always said her pasta sauce was better. Eventually, they danced and began passionately kissing.

Alliances

At the Abbotts, they all decided to go in on bringing down Tucker. Jill (Jess Walton) said she was proud of Billy (Jason Thompson), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Diane (Susan Walters) for going after him. She asked that she be the one who distracted Tucker.

As they talked, though, they realized that Tucker was shoring up the company he owned with Ashley. They realized he planned to bring down Jabot from the inside.

At the GCAC, Mamie (Veronica Redd) wasn’t convinced by Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) expressing his desire to turn over a new leaf (refresh yourself on her kicking him to the curb, here). Ashley (Eileen Davidson) walked in, and Mamie left. Tucker wasn’t all that happy that Ashley joined him, but she didn’t let that stop her.

He told her the same story about starting anew and putting something positive in the universe. However, Ashley seemed to see through it. She withdrew her offer to sell Tucker her half of their company, so he said he’d fight her for it.

Threats

At the Abbott mansion, as Jill, Billy, Diane, and Jack continued making plans, they wondered if Ashley had one. She walked in and told them she did. Ashley explained that Tucker wanted the company badly, so she wasn’t going to sell it to him.

Meanwhile, in his suite at the GCAC, Tucker spoke with his lawyer, demanding she figure out a way to force Ashley to sell to him. She said it wouldn’t be easy, and Tucker threatened her.
