Married At First Sight’s Ryan Donnelly has gone rogue and revealed private texts between him and his TV wife Jacqui Burfoot.
The reality star, 36, shared screenshots of his WhatsApp conversation with Jacqui, 29, on Tuesday, which showed her quick change in tune between the Final Commitment Ceremony and Final Temptation Task.
In the first screenshot of messages, Jacqui told Ryan she was ‘really disappointed’ in him for voting to leave the experiment when she voted to stay.
During Sunday’s Commitment Ceremony, Ryan called out his wife’s harsh criticism of him during Homestays Week and voiced his intention to leave the series. Jacqui chose to stay.
But despite telling the experts she wanted to stay to ‘talk it out’ and ‘have some healthy communication’, she sent a heated text to the groom post-filming saying the complete opposite.
‘I think it’s best we both leave the experiment tomorrow together – you’ve made it clear tonight to me it’s over. And it’s cut me very deep,’ one read.
She finished off the text: ‘I hope you are happy with yourself.’
Jacqui then did a complete 180 just a couple days later following the controversial Final Task.
During Tuesday night’s episode, the pair were given the choice to meet with another potential love match the experts had found during the audition process or remain loyal to their spouses.
The challenge saw both couples go on a date, with Jacqui even giving her number to her backup groom, Rory, 28.
However, when she returned to the apartment, she told Ryan ‘I’ve loved you since the day I met you’ and the pair reignited their relationship.
In a second screenshot posted on Instagram, Jacqui is seen praising her TV husband in true Jacqui fashion – with a list.
The bride lists the things that he brings to the table, which included: ‘best sex’, ‘hottest body’, ‘smart & hard working’ and ‘fit, healthy & lean’.
She added: ‘Ps. my new thing is happy lists for you.’
‘You are more than enough for me. And I’m gonna fight for that,’ she added.
‘Because you are worth it.’
The exposed text messages come after Jacqui sensationally claimed on Monday that production forced her to remain in the experiment despite wanting to leave.
‘Tonight I packed my bags and tried to leave but was stopped by production. They refused to let me leave and said I had to stay as per the rules of the experiment,’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘They told me Ryan was feeling crushed and it was my chance to make him feel included and accepted as a human.
‘So guess that was my final job. I didn’t see any future with him. I wanted to leave amicably as but no more. Tomorrow I take the date option to meet someone new.’
Ryan and Jacqui’s romance reached a breaking point during Sunday night’s episode as the couple took to the couch for the final Commitment Ceremony.
At last week’s Dinner Party, Ryan called out his wife’s harsh words about him during Homestays Week, which saw his fellow participants hold the bride accountable.
Following the fiery dinner, the couple met with the experts to discuss their relationship and decide whether to proceed to the Final Vows together.
Ryan opened up the conversation by saying, ‘I’ve wanted more than anything to have a team and to have a best friend and ultimately an organic love that can grow from that and that’s why I came into this experiment.’
He went on: ‘However, I don’t believe that that should come at the ultimate cost of who you are as a person,’ adding that the last week was ‘a prime example’ of that.
The groom then sensationally revealed: ‘At times I’ve felt I haven’t had a partner, I’ve had a critic.’
