MARRIED at First Sight’s Michelle and David’s marriage is in crisis, as they revealed they never see or speak to each other.
Michelle, 38, and David, 35, star on Lifetime’s Married at First Sight alongside cast members Emem and Ikechi, Camille and Thomas, Juan and Karla, and Madison and Allen.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal a sneak peek of tonight’s episode of David trying to figure out how to better communicate with his new wife.
David said in the clip, “It has been tough not seeing you. I don’t know how that’s going to work or how you feel about that. Is that space good for us, you think?”
Michelle responded, “We obviously don’t talk really during the week.”
David explained how he “tries to reach out,” as he added, “I left you a note on the table. I got no response on it. I was just trying a different kind of communication because I know…”
Michelle cut him off and asked, “So you wanted me to leave a note?”
David answered, “No, just maybe a text message? Saying you have a great day too. I just think in a relationship and in a marriage, if I didn’t leave that, you wouldn’t know where I was.”
Michelle shot back, “You didn’t come home last night though and didn’t give me a heads up. If we’re calling people out.”
David then said, “I’m not calling you out… It’s just one of those things like, at that point if I don’t get a response, obviously, I do respect that you’re sleeping as well.
“Because I said good night the other night, you were probably in bed. And didn’t get any response on that either so I was just…
“I’m just trying to figure out what’s our best communication in regards to our scheduling.”
Michelle said, “I don’t know. I mean we have completely different schedules. It’s not like we ever see each other.”
David then said in his confessional, “I’m really trying hard in my marriage. I just don’t know where to go or what direction because it seems everything that I am doing or trying to do is just not getting reciprocated.
“I’m at a dead end.”
Michelle and David have had tension throughout their relationship since meeting at the altar, as she has expressed how difficult it is going from living alone for six years to living with a partner.
According to Michelle’s biography, she joined the show because she is “ready for marriage, and is eager to find her soulmate in the Married at First Sight experiment after being single for the past six years.”
As for David, he was inspired by his parents’ successful marriage.
“After learning from past relationships and discovering his individuality, he feels prepared for the commitment of marriage,” his bio read.
“With contentment and self-confidence, he believes the experts can broaden his perspective and guide him toward a fulfilling relationship.”
MORE MARITAL ISSUES
But they’re not the only ones who have had issues, as Camille and Thomas have also been struggling.
On the November 26 episode, Camille criticized her husband during a session with Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson.
“What’s missing is a little smoothness and the swag factor,” Camille said in the sneak peek.
When Pastor Calvin asked if Camille thinks her husband has swag, she responded, “The potential is there. For me, something that could take a back burner would be some of the jokes.”
‘NOT ENOUGH’
In a previous episode, Thomas revealed cracks in their new marriage while on their honeymoon in the Mexican Riviera.
“Just outside, thinking about a lot of stuff,” Thomas said to the camera. “Camille and I have been having deeper talks. She has shared with me that maybe I’m not traditionally the type of guy she dates or… our upbringings are a little bit different.
“Normally I don’t think I would’ve taken it personally, but in this case I kind of did.
“I hope I am good enough for her because we haven’t known each other for that long but definitely there are some kind of feelings there because I care about her and this is for real.”
Thomas then admitted he is being in his “feels” too much.
Married at First Sight airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Lifetime and is available to stream the next day.
