Married At First Sight’s Jamie Marinos was left red faced after she was stood up by another potential match during Tuesday night’s episode of the show.
The participants were given the opportunity to meet with other compatible suitors the experts had found them during the audition process, in what has been described as the show’s ‘most f**ked up challenge to date’.
Jamie’s husband Dave Hand decided to turn down the offer, saying: ‘Jamie and I are in a great place.’
‘I think I need to prove to Jamie that I do have feelings for her and I do care about her,’ he added.
‘I don’t wanna jeopardise anything at all, so I’m not really interested in that. I feel like I was matched with the perfect match.’
However, his wife had a different train of thought when it came to the controversial challenge.
‘I’m a nosy b*tch, I like to know these things,’ she said to the camera, giggling.
‘It’s not a date, there’s no date. It says meet,’ she clarified as she read the letter about the challenge from the experts again.
However, as Jamie was seen awkwardly waiting with a glass of white wine in hand at a Sydney restaurant, something didn’t seem right.
‘How much more waiting do I do? When is he coming?’ she asked, as she ordered another glass of wine to pass the time.
Eventually, it became clear her suitor wasn’t coming and a producer approached her from the sidelines to tell her he has cancelled.
‘I’ve never been stood up at a restaurant before in my life,’ an mortified Jamie told the camera.
‘It’s actually so embarrassing that now this is a televised event.’
While the bride was humiliated by the experience, it made her more grateful for her husband who was waiting for her at home.
‘It makes me want to run to Dave and like, literally, hold onto him for dear life,’ she said.
Cut to the next scene and Jamie was seen wrapped in a blanket on the couch, clutching her stuffed dinosaur as she waited for her husband to return home.
Her face was as guilty as ever when he finally arrived back at their apartment.
‘What a bloody long a** day today was,’ she said as she embraced Dave and the pair sat down on the couch.
After Dave revealed to her that he ‘didn’t want to entertain it at all’ and chose to reject the date, Jamie’s face fell.
‘You’re being a really good husband right now,’ she admitted.
Jamie then revealed she had gone on the date – and Dave’s eyes went wide.
‘I didn’t wanna go there to gain clarity on you because I’ve picked you regardless,’ she said, adding that it was such a ‘weird experience’ to meet another possible suitor that she didn’t want to turn it down.
But as the tension in the air built, Jami broke the ice with the hilarious truth.
‘And then… [he] doesn’t even show up,’ she revealed.
‘What do you mean?’ Dave asked.
‘I got completely, like…’ she trailed off, before Dave finished her sentence and said ‘stood up’.
The pair both broke out in giggles.
‘You f*cking loser, what are you doing out there?’ the groom quipped, as the pair couldn’t stop laughing.
‘What are you going and getting stood up for? You’re married!’.
‘It wasn’t a date, it was a catch-up!’ Jamie said defensively with a cheeky smile on her face.
‘It’s okay,’ Dave soothed his wife.
In a piece to the camera, Dave shrugged the challenge off and insisted he did not care.
‘It doesn’t change anything massively for me, I’m not a jealous person,’ he said.
‘We’re in a marriage here and I trust her but I’m glad she got stood up, that’s for sure.’
