Married At First Sight’s Jacqui Burfoot has taken another brutal swipe at her TV ex-husband Ryan Donnelly.
One Wednesday, she trashed his part-time acting career and claimed it was incompatible with her high standards.
The 29-year-old jewellery store owner didn’t hold back in a scathing social media post, revealing she had major concerns about Ryan’s ‘unstable’ job.
‘I was concerned about his acting career not being stable and predictable. It would force him to be a primary caregiver… he wouldn’t be happy with that,’ Jacqui began.
‘I want to be with a man who works hard/late, treats women very well and prides himself on a clean home. Ladies, never lower your standards. If you are insecure about finances then it is an insult to someone to have a concern over finances.
‘Who wouldn’t be concerned married to someone unemployed and a part-time actor? I was legit worried for him, so were the producers.’
Jacqui’s snide remarks came just hours after she also took aim at Ryan’s Sydney home, blasting his Campbelltown suburb as ‘boganic’.
This is despite the fact he fully owns his property, while she filmed her Homestays in an Airbnb rental.
Jacqui since has moved on and now lives with co-star Clint Rice in his sprawling Tasmanian mansion.
Ryan listed his profession as a ‘project manager’ on the show and his acting gigs appear to be a side hustle.
Earlier this week, Daily Mail Australia revealed the Manly property she welcomed Ryan into on Monday night was actually a rented Airbnb.
She returned to the Northern Beaches for the episode and was filmed rolling her suitcase through the front door of what was supposedly her home.
However, the property was in fact a $200-a-night Airbnb rental.
A voiceover described the residence as ‘Jacqui’s home’, but in reality it was a two-story rental arranged by producers.
The property was also a completely different home from the one shown during her wedding backstory.
According to a production insider, Jacqui’s actual living situation was deemed ‘too small’ and impractical for filming.
‘She had roommates living at her house and it was in a messy state, and she didn’t feel comfortable with it,’ a source told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Ryan and Jacqui were instructed not to make any mention that it was a fake house and just to pretend that it was actually Jacqui’s.’
The source added the decision was ironic given Jacqui’s later criticisms of Ryan’s real home.
‘Pretty hypocritical because when they went to Ryan’s, Jacqui was given full freedom to attack his living conditions,’ they said.
Homestay week is designed to offer a glimpse into the daily lives of MAFS contestants, leading viewers to believe they are staying in their actual homes.
However, due to Jacqui’s real living situation – a small shared apartment in Manly -producers opted for a more visually appealing alternative.
‘Her real bedroom was tiny, and the camera crew couldn’t fit in her apartment. Her roommates’ stuff was everywhere. They would’ve had to be asked to leave for filming,’ the insider added.
After the episode aired, Jacqui took to Instagram to defend her decision not to show her actual home on the show, claiming ‘security and privacy is important’ when you’re a ‘single lady’.
‘For anyone curious, this was taken at my actual Manly apartment,’ she captioned a photo of her real home.
‘As a single lady, security and privacy is important to me and my friends.
‘I didn’t [sic] feel comfortable opening my home up to all of Australia.
‘Just so you know the “apartments” the couples live in are actually also decorated hotel rooms.’
