Married At First Sight’s Jacqui Burfoot has made a bizarre comment about Ryan Donnelly after secretly swapping numbers with her backup groom during the Final Temptation Task.
The reality TV bride, 29, arrived at the Final Dinner Party in Wednesday night’s episode on the arm of her husband Ryan, 36, who proclaimed: ‘The king and queen of confusion are back,’ with a giant smile on his face.
The show’s participants were visibly shocked as Jacqui and Ryan put on a loved-up display, particularly after a heated Homestays Week and Commitment Ceremony that saw Ryan move out of their shared apartment.
‘Oh my god you guys never fail to entertain me,’ Jamie said as she jumped up to hug the bride.
In her piece to camera, Jacqui went on to reveal how happy she was to be reunited with her TV husband – and made a strange comment that cemented her feelings for the groom.
‘It was really nice walking in with Ryan,’ she told the camera.
Adding that she had felt like they had ‘made it’, she gushed: ‘We’re so glad we had each other and there’s no one else we would’ve rather done this experiment with.’
Then, the bride dropped the big whammy.
‘You know, if Ryan and I actually commit at Final Vows, we’ll be at each other’s graves.
‘There’s nothing that could possibly come between us.’
Later on at the Dinner Party Jacqui continued on her love rant, revealing that Ryan is one of the ‘strongest’ and most ‘sexually attractive men’ she’s ever met.
It comes after Jacqui gave her number to another man during the experiment’s final challenge.
In Tuesday night’s episode, the pair were given the choice to meet with another potential love match the experts had found during the audition process or remain loyal to their spouses.
The challenge saw both Jacqui and Ryan go on a date.
However, despite begging Ryan to take her back after he’d had enough of her constant criticism, the lawyer gave her number to backup groom, Rory, 28.
When she returned to the apartment, Jacqui failed to mention that she had dropped her digits with her other compatible match, instead telling Ryan: ‘I’ve loved you since the day I met you.’
The conversation brought the couple together and they decided to give it another go.
In Monday night’s episode, a ‘heartbroken’ Jacqui wept as she begged Ryan to take her back.
The couple’s relationship was all but over after Ryan opted to leave the experiment.
However, with Jacqui writing ‘stay’, the couple will remain another week to see if their relationship can be salvaged.
The controversial bride, who has been hurtling a raft of insults at her reality TV husband on social media for the past couple of weeks and claimed she wanted out of the relationship, was adamant she was ‘in love’ with Ryan.
However, it seems that Jacqui may have more success on The Block, with the consultant likening their pairing to a home renovation.
‘I’m working on improving. It’s like me renovating the home because I want to live there in the future.’
‘I feel really sad after last night,’ Jacqui told producers.
‘I thought that the feedback I’m giving is for the betterment of both of us. I want it to work for happiness.
She kept the home improvement theme going as she, once again, burst into tears.
‘Maybe he’s just a chair and I was trying to get him to be a door. Maybe the chair just needs comforting right now,’ she said.
Jacqui and Ryan are no longer together and she is now living with their MAFS co-star Clint Rice in Tasmania.
Married At First Sight will return on Sunday at 7.00pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
