MARRIED at First star Ikechi has slammed his wife, Emem, accusing her of being “aggressive” when it comes to sex in a sneak peek.

Ikechi, 41, married Emem, 34, after meeting her at the altar on the current season of Married at First Sight.

In an exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, December 17 episode, Ikechi spoke with expert Dr. Pia Holec about a major struggle in their new marriage.

Dr. Pia asked Ikechi, “She tries to initiate sex. You say, ‘No I’m not ready’?”

He responded, “And that seemed to have been like, the turnoff, and then she started to act funny with me.

“I stopped her and said, ‘Hey, I don’t want to be walking around this apartment walking around eggshells every time I am around you. What’s going on?

“She said, ‘Every time you say that you don’t know me, it bothers me. When you say that I’m aggressive, it bothers me.’ And I was like, ‘You’re aggressive. How can I continue to tell you, I said no. I don’t want to do that.”

When Dr. Pia asked what Emem did to make him feel aggressive, he responded, “It just feels like every time… not every time, but it feels like there are times when I’m just a piece of meat in the house.

“Things that I’m not ready for she’s like, ‘let’s go,’ and I’m like look I just told you to stop. I’ve expressed that. And it just seems like… well you’re my husband. And I’m like, but I don’t know you.”

The camera would pan to Emem throughout the clip as she listened to her husband vent.

FINDING LOVE?

According to Emem’s biography, he joined the series to “find his soulmate.”

“The fact that his career prospects led him to Chicago at this particular time feels kismet,” his bio read.

“He’s done the work to figure out who he is and what he wants, and though he’s had some long-term relationships and dated some amazing women, the connection was never quite there.

“He looks forward to finding his true love in this process and feels he’s been ready for marriage with the woman he’s meant to be with for quite some time.”

As for Emem, she is ready to find love after est ablishing herself career-wise and finding her “voice.”

Her bio continued, “She is not interested in wasting time dating around. Married At First Sight is an opportunity she’s unwilling to pass up. As an open-minded person, Emem feels this experiment could be the perfect fit.”

ROCKY ROAD

Ikechi and Emem aren’t the only cast members who have experienced difficulty in their marriage.

On last week’s episode, David called his marriage to Michelle a “dead end” after the couple had trouble communicating.

David said in the clip, “It has been tough not seeing you. I don’t know how that’s going to work or how you feel about that. Is that space good for us, you think?”

Michelle responded, “We obviously don’t talk really during the week.”

David explained how he “tries to reach out” and added, “I left you a note on the table. I got no response on it. I was just trying a different kind of communication because I know…”

Michelle cut him off and asked, “So you wanted me to leave a note?”

David answered, “No, just maybe a text message? Saying you have a great day too. I just think in a relationship and in a marriage, if I didn’t leave that, you wouldn’t know where I was.”

Michelle fired back, “You didn’t come home last night though and didn’t give me a heads up. If we’re calling people out.”

David then said, “I’m not calling you out… It’s just one of those things like, at that point if I don’t get a response, obviously, I do respect that you’re sleeping as well.

“Because I said good night the other night, you were probably in bed. And didn’t get any response on that either so I was just…

“I’m just trying to figure out what’s our best communication in regards to our scheduling.”

Michelle said, “I don’t know. I mean we have completely different schedules. It’s not like we ever see each other.”

David then said in his confessional, “I’m really trying hard in my marriage. I just don’t know where to go or what direction because it seems everything that I am doing or trying to do is just not getting reciprocated.

“I’m at a dead end.”

Michelle and David have had tension throughout their relationship since meeting at the altar, as she has expressed how difficult it is going from living alone for six years to living with a partner.
