Married at First Sight’s Dr. Pia Holec is a new mom and a wife!

The reality show’s psychologist and sex therapist, 39, welcomed her first baby, daughter Nova Chelle Goff, with her sports broadcaster husband Jason Goff, 43, on Thursday, Jan. 16, a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively. Ahead of the baby’s arrival, the two eloped at the Intercontinental Miracle Mile in Chicago on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

The following week on Jan. 5, Holec and Goff celebrated the expansion of their family with a baby shower at The Penthouse Hyde Park. The couple both wore dark green outfits as they commemorated the occasion, which was designed and planned by celebrity planner Slomique Hawrylo, catered by CMB and featured arrangements by MK Floral Designs.

“Pregnancy and the birthing process were wild times, and I’m so grateful that I had the support of my husband!” Holec tells PEOPLE. “Nova is absolutely perfect, the best blessing, and the greatest love! Now I get what my mom meant when she said, ‘You’ll understand when you have a child!’”

Echoing his wife’s sentiments, Goff adds, “I fell in love again when I saw her for the first time,” referring to his daughter. “Part of the girl dad gang now.”

A rep for the couple exclusively confirmed with PEOPLE in September 2024 that Holec and Goff were expecting their first baby together. At the time, the couple shared their excitement for their first child and their journey ahead with PEOPLE.

“Jason and I thrilled to announce our miracle baby to the world,” Holec told PEOPLE at the time. “As a first-time mommy, this is a dream come true and a gift from my mom in Heaven. Our greatest adventure is up next!”

The couple, who got engaged in December 2021, told PEOPLE they were also looking forward to a big sex reveal party. Initially, Holec shared that Goff was against the idea.

“Jason thought I was being extra to want a gender reveal, but then he decided that we should light the Willis Tower!” Holec joked. “We, along with the rest of the city, will be able to look a the tower and find out pink or blue — if we’re having another little Jason or a little Pia.”

Holec has been an expert on MAFS for the last three seasons and this past season in Denver was her first time working as a full-time expert on the show. She celebrated this milestone and the conclusion of filming her third season on Instagram, sharing a montage of photos and videos from throughout the season.

“The Denver season of Married at First sight is officially a wrap!” she wrote in her caption. “Though it was my third season with @mafslifetime, it was my first season as a full-time expert!”

She continued, “I’m very grateful for the opportunity and am so appreciative that everyone welcomed me with open arms. Love my MAFS family! 🫶🏽💗.”
